The Swans performance last sunday has won them the Performance of the week award from League Managers Association judging panel (Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett, Howard Wilkinson, and Barry Fry). Brendan Rodgers will receive a specially engraved crystal football in a presentation on Sky Soccer Saturday. http://www.swansea.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=276213
Can it get any better? well deserved in my view, and I'm sure that Fergy was delighted to put his vote to the result, after all we did put Manu back on top!.................
Well deserved award. I couldn't understand why we didn't get it for the Arsenal win. But haven't you heard? We weren't that great against City. They were poor and had an 'off day'. Like everyone else we beat.
That's the cross we have to bear,Knackered. People still haven't come to terms with the way we have performed overall. The belief is, that to lose to little old Swansea means that they must have "underformed",or "not even turned up". It is all so insulting, but hey, they can just keep on insulting.
I seem to remember they also "didn't turn up" when we beat them in that "meaningless" Carling Cup tie !!! I've often wondered down the years who we did play that night.
That Carling Cup game was a brilliant game Vetch. Atmosphere was electric especially as it was dark and the floodlights were on. It was like one of those famous champions League atmospheres. And a fantastic Jordi Gomez freekick to complete the evening. I couldn't talk for about a week after after all the shouting I did.
I remember it well,Bessian. Gomez was a hero that night, but unfortunately his stature has somewhat diminished around this Forum of late.
