The second half showed why Potter had made Ryan Woods his number one target. If our midfield isn't sorted there'll be plenty of games where we won't be able to hang on like we did yesterday. Thankfully Fer has come back earlier than anticipated and helped save the day.

 

I did like the way Fer introduced himself into the game yesterday , bang and hav it ( sounds like a piano manufacturer )

 

The squad is now too threadbare, but I feel confident that some fresh faces will arrive before too long. The loan market beckons.

Great result, how did we actually play. deserved win or a hang on.

 

Pretty decent first half - could have been at least 2 up.

Second half we were second best - they controlled midfield and better teams would have made us pay..,

That said, McBurnie should have wrapped things up.

If - and it’s a big IF - they bring in 3 or 4 loan signings, minimum a striker, defensive midfielder & CB, then who knows, we may challenge to get back up.

One good thing is that Potter has got them fighting for the cause - there’s certainly spirit there, unlike many times last season.

 

That all sounds good as long as we bring in a few loanees, someone said Rodon was excellent yesterday. Maybe the young man will step up, even if he does we still need another centre back, Mulder came on for Norsdfelt, so down to one keeper as well.

What was the crowd and did they give the board any stick.

 

Rodon looked ok - but too early to make a judgement.

Crowd was really behind the players & Potter.

The crowd gave the Board & Huw stick when the game was stopped for Nordfeldt and his replacement by Mulder

I see Fab had a bad day at the office in his first league outing for West Ham although the goals I saw weren't down to him. I think Liverpool will push City all the way and West Ham may not have such a good season as is expected of them

The crowd was probably between 17500-18000, with Preston bringing about 500. The "normal" Swans areas were pretty full.

With Leeds the next home match that should guarantee another big crowd.
