Ronald is handed his full Swansea City debut as head coach Luke Williams makes four changes to his line-up for the visit of Plymouth Argyle.

The Brazilian starts on Swansea’s Maggie’s matchday after a bright cameo off the bench at Leicester City in midweek, with Ben Cabango, Kyle Naughton and Ollie Cooper also coming into the team.

Liam Cullen and Bashir Humphreys drop to the bench, while Harry Darling and Harrison Ashby are absent through injury.

Deadline-day signings Charles Sagoe Jr and Przemyslaw Placheta are among the substitutes.

Carl Rushworth continues in goal for the Swans, with Cabango and Naughton joining Nathan Wood and Josh Tymon in the Swansea defence.

Skipper Matt Grimes and Jay Fulton are paired together in midfield.

Ronald, Cooper and Jamie Paterson will provide support for Jerry Yates in attack.

Swansea City: Carl Rushworth, Jay Fulton, Ben Cabango, Matt Grimes (captain), Jerry Yates, Jamie Paterson, Josh Tymon, Nathan Wood, Kyle Naughton, Ollie Cooper, Ronald.

Substitutes: Andy Fisher, Joe Allen, Przemyslaw Placheta, Charlie Patino, Mykola Kuharevich, Liam Cullen, Charles Sagoe Jr, Bashir Humphreys, Filip Lissah.

Plymouth Argyle: Conor Hazard, Bali Mumba, Ryan Hardie, Morgan Whittaker (captain), Mickel Miller, Alfie Devine, Lewis Gibson, Darko Gyabi, Brendan Galloway, Ashley Phillips, Adam Forshaw.

Some encouraging signs, especially with Ron making things happen but we seemed to fade out towards half time. We're still spending too much time trying to intricately pass about in our own area! Try intricately passing in midfield instead.

When you look at how clinical Whittaker is in front of goal, you have got to ask which nugget at the club let him go to Plymouth? Whittaker's movement on and off the ball is lovely when contrasted with our blunderbus efforts!......<laugh>

Whittaker was completely unmarked when he scored …..

Yates missed a sitter - Whittaker would have scored that
