Here is the not606'ers man of the match vote for Stoke (H), our second win in the premier league was one where for me a lot of players stood out, Monk,Allen & Taylor were superb, Graham got his first goal for us, and the Iceman Sinclair slotted home a penalty. But this is about about you guys, so please get your votes in. I just want to pass my condolences to the stoke fans on one of their young supporters passing away, such tragedy at a young age, if you wish to pass your respects go here The Vote of the last game against Chelsea (A) is below: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/89104-Swansea-City-player-of-the-Week-Chelsea-%28A%29 I have blogged all the Man of the match articles below http://www.not606.com/entry.php/448-Best-Player-Votes
Was lucky enough to get tickets for todays game and it was close between Allen and Graham as both worked their socks off but for me Allen just shaded it given the 'tackles' Stoke were putting in in the middle of the park. Disgraceful, if the ref had been stronger Stoke would have been down to 10, maybe even 9 (considering what Rodwell got sent off for yesterday), there was some barmy decisions being made by the man in the middle
Gave it to Danny Graham for a well-taken goal and some great defensive headers in his own box when we were under the cosh.
Monk for making so many important headers, Allen for getting in Crouches ribs, Graham for defensive headers and a well taken goal when playing against a German international and an ex-Real Madrid player?, Sinclair for always threatening, Ash for being consistently good, Routledge for his best performance in a Swans shirt, Vorm for that first half save.........................................................it's Graham
Just came to say well done guys. Really like your team, honest, playing football, not the nonsense the stokes, blackburn and boltons serve up week in week out. You and norwich city are a breath of fresh air to the prem. Looking great at the back, 4 clean sheets at home?!
Diffucult one, heroes all over yesterday. Graham's finish was amazing, his work-rate was incredible too. Back at most set-pieces to help out as well!! Some countless perfectly timed defensive interceptions by Ash!! All the back 4 played well to be honest. Garry, what a club captain's performance!!! But have to go with 'Little-Joe' though, what a 'colossus' in midfield!! We were without Leon, but Allen well stepped-up to the mark. Brendan must have been so proud of our boys' yesterday, they continually raise the bar!! Travelsick07 Cheers for the kind words. Apparently, according to Lee Dixon on MOTD2 last night, we're the 1st promoted side to go the 1st 4 home games without conceding a goal!! Another '1st' for the mighty Swans!!! It's really appreciative when fellow fans' come over & give us praise. We've been scintillating many times over the last 4 years or so, but still nice to see other fans loving it too!! Most Swans fans' are honest enough to criticise constructively, when we're not so good too!! Not many of those days though... Thanks for taking the time & good luck to the Toon....
The Toon are my second Club due to family connections so it's great to see them try to shake things up at the top. The Guttierez goal on the weekend was jaw dropping. As for our mom I'm sticking with Monk. His positional play was just superb. A very canny defensive display from him. Hard to disagree with most of the other conteners though. So chuffed for Danny.
There were a couple of passes going stray but when the players were being assaulted that's fair enough - very pleased for Graham - works very hard and battled brilliantly.
Doh! missed out on voting .. I would have given it to Monk , but could not argue with any votes for Joe or Danny. Thought Gower was poor, but I suspect there was a reason for this as his mind did not seem to be focused. Let's hope it was just a one off game for him and that he continues to play with the form he is is capable of.
