    Swansea City v Rotherham United

    Competition - Sky Bet Championship
    Date - 19 April 2019
    Kick off - 3pm
    Venue - The Liberty Stadium

Following their abject performance at Loftus Road where they suffered an humiliating 0-4 drubbing, next up for Graham Potter’s Swansea squad is a home game against relegation threatened Rotherham United.

Despite being without a manager and the Swans having won three on the spin, the hosts tore into the Welsh side.

Goals from Darnell Furlong and two from Tomer Hemed put Rangers 3-0 in front after just 15 minutes at Loftus Road.

Any hopes of a comeback evaporated when Massimo Luongo scored on 54 minutes.

Were the Swans over-confident or were they just simply outfought and outthought by opponents who desperately needed the 3 points to help secure their status in the Championship for another season?

Either way the defeat effectively ended the Swans’ faint hopes of reaching the Championship play-offs.

Whilst the Swans were being thrashed by QPR, Rotherham were boosting their Championship survival hopes by coming from 2-0 down to draw at mid-table Stoke.

The Millers were unfortunate to trail to first-half goals by Sam Vokes and Sam Clucas, but produced a spirited fightback to stay two points adrift of fourth-bottom Wigan.

Michael Smith headed home a 58th-minute corner to make it 2-1 and substitute Matt Crooks equalised from close range after Stoke had failed to clear Will Vaulks' long throw.

Crooks had a further effort cleared off the line by Stoke captain Ryan Shawcross and was denied superbly by home goalkeeper Jack Butland, who also made fine second-half saves from Clark Robertson and Joe Newell.

The Swans and the Millers have met on 77 occasions, with Swansea winning 27, Rotherham 25, with 25 drawn matches.

Whenever the Swans play Rotherham, we remember, and our thoughts and prayers are with, Terry Coles. RIP Terry <rose>

Looking ahead to Friday, with Rotherham desperate for the points, and no doubt having studied the way that QPR pressed and outfought the Swans, I’m going for a 2-2 draw. <cheers>

Rotherham need points more than us so I think they'll get at least a draw.
Hopefully we'll get back on track with another 3 goals and a victory.
When we lost to them earlier in the season I saw it as a marker for how far we've fallen in the last few seasons. From beating Valencia in the Europa League to losing away in the championship to Rotherham.
    Next level stuff.

We should win this at the liberty but i dont care about the scores now and would rather Potter introduce some of the U23 & U21 players on the bench and give them a taste of the atmosphere of first team football and maybe give half an our on the pitch......We can't reach the playoffs anyway (Not that i wanted them to) and we can't get relegated, So it is an opportunity for Potter to use.

The game at QPR should be a kick up the backside so I anticipate our good home form to continue. 3-1 to the Swans <ok>

Looking at the run in other than Liverpool the could sneak it. Brighton in free fall, similarities to us last season only needing three points and playing against your relegation opposition and can’t beat them.

Brighton will struggle to get anymore points this season.

We've never ever beaten them 5-1

    They've beaten us 6-1 and 5-2, and we've beaten them 5-0, but never been a 5-1
