    Swansea City v Nottingham Forest

    Competition - Sky Bet Championship
    Date - 15 September 2018
    Kick off - 3pm
    Venue - Liberty Stadium

Following their impressive and gutsy away win at ‘The Lion’s Den’, next up for Graham Potter’s battling Swans is the visit of Nottingham Forest to The Liberty Stadium.

Against Millwall, the Swans came from behind to win, despite playing 85 minutes of the game with 10 men.

Forward Courtney Baker-Richardson, making his league debut for the Swans, was shown a straight red card for a lunge on James Meredith.

Murray Wallace headed Millwall in front from Shaun Williams' corner, but Kyle Naughton equalised when he found the bottom corner from the edge of the box following great work by ‘Jet Pack Jeff’ Montero.

The Lions pushed forward again, but Oli McBurnie put the finishing touch on a swift break (led by Montero) to give the Swans a victory that lifted them to 7th in the table.

On the same day that the Swans beat Millwall 2-1, Forest lost by the same score away at Brentford, with Ollie Watkins' late strike seeing Brentford clinch victory and end Forest's unbeaten start to the season.

The Swans and Forest have met on 61 occasions previously, with Swansea winning 23, Forest 24 and 14 draws.

Arguably, the most important and memorable match between the two sides took place at The Liberty Stadium on 16 May 2011 - the Championship Play-Off Semi-Final 2nd leg - when goals from Leon Britton, Stephen Dobbie and Darren Pratley saw the Swans run out 3-1 winners and secure a Wembley Play-Off spot against Reading, which the Swans went on to win 4-2.

Turning to Saturday, the Swans will be determined to build on the victory over Millwall, whilst Forest will be wanting to get back to winning ways. I’m hoping the Swans will win but I am expecting a 1-1 draw. <cheers>

Asolo, Celina, John, Olssen,Nordvelt,Robers, Vickers-Taylor all been away on international duty. Hadn't realised such a large chunk of our first team squad was away.

Forest like Millwall run hot and cold and we must not take them lightly......We must be favorites like we were against the wurzels and we know what happened there. But at the end of the day we need to win our home games so i hope we can get another 3 points..........2 - 1.

"Former Nottingham Forest defender Kenny Burns says Swansea City's Barrie McKay "doesn't like getting kicked" and told his former club to give the winger a physical test on Saturday."

Hope the ref has been taking note <whistle>

I'll go for a 2 - 1. If we can keep our home form ticking over then maybe we'll be thereabouts come the playoffs. I don't think we'll be in any danger of the dropzone this season but that'll be solely down to Potter - against all the odds.

To be honest I have no clue on how we are going to do, it could be a win loss or draw, who the **** knows. we have a great performance in us, an average one and also a ****e one, depends which team turn up.

We're still rebuilding at the moment , to what level the manager is allowed to rebuild to remains to be seen although I'm not hopeful that's he'll be given the means to achieve his aims but I do look forward to games now ,always hopeful rather than having the feeling that the sword of Damocles is about to loosen his grip .

    From the Club’s website:

“The Swans skipper picked up the problem during the win at Millwall 12 days ago.

And though he is making good progress, Fer will be absent when Graham Potter’s men host Nottingham Forest on Saturday and go to Stoke next Tuesday night.

The hope is that the midfielder will be back in contention at Middlesbrough in nine days’ time.”

Without Fer there's a hole in our midfield that needs filling, its blind luck Fulton is 'fit' to play again to plug the gap. Problem, he's not played for three weeks so may lack the puff he'll need to chase down a nippy Forrest midfield.

Is it time to bring Narsingh and Routledge in from the cold to cover centrally and to start Dyer for Asoro out wide? I think it is.

Are Forrest as good as they think they are yet?

They made a plethora of signings in the summer, 16 and counting, and this could be to our advantage. Its going to take Forrest a while, probably until Christmas, before they gel together and perform cohesively as a unit. Luckily, we get to play them now when they could still be a bit off the mark.

Lots of goals in this I think, 3-2 Swans <ok>
