    Opinions?

Forgive me for sounding bitter, but, well, I am. There's already people touting them for £200+ online, and I fully understand that. I also fully understand you'll never please everyone, but personally, I think it stinks. 4 season tickets when we were **** and drawing 2,000 fans counts for nothing these days, and I didn't even have a CHANCE to get a ticket.

Do you think season ticket holders should have got preference on such an in-demand fixture? I don't know my feelings on that, but it's something for debate.

Anyway, unless some bit of magic happens, or someone decides to buy me a ticket off a tout for megabucks, I guess I'll be missing the game I was dreaming of all those years ago while watching the Swans play Kiddie et al in the rain.

Anyone who's bought tickets to sell, I hope you get run over by a car.

Too harsh? Not harsh enough. Go ruin something else with money, but leave football alone.

Same here, Scott. I am heartbroken. Seriously. I am a jack army member. I've been to Wolves, Liverpool, and Arsenal away. Been to every home game except WBA. Yet I do not even have the chance to purchase a ticket. How can that even be considered fair? And, to top it off, not getting Manu U tickets means that I miss out on more loyalty points, meaning that I'll probably struggle to get tickets for Villa now, and the other "glory hunter" games later on in the season. I don't think I'll even be able to bring myself to watch it on TV. I'm sick to my stomach tonight. Gutted.

In fairness man I'd have no problem you having a ticket over me. I've only just come back into the country so this would be my first game of the season, so I understand completely how some people should be entitled to them over others, but for them to not even reach general sale to Jack Army members?

Just come in after half time. They still open the gates up for the second half don't they?

But seriously, I am gutted for those who couldn't get tickets. However, how do the club quantify loyalty, with regards to selling tickets for big game? Some would say they have more right to a ticket because they have been supporting the Swans for x amount of years, some would say they have more right because they have been more dedicated in recent years, and some would say they have more right because they are prepared to queue through the night for tickets. I think it's very difficult to say who is more deserving, but this is something that the Supporters' Trust should be hassled about, because they are in the best position to defend the rights of proper fans to the club. The atmosphere down the Liberty does and will continue to play a massive part in this seasons success, and if the crowd is made up only of people who have the money or the friends to get tickets, the atmosphere will definitely be affected.

Yeah, that's pretty much where my anguish sits. To miss out on tickets because I was too slow to apply for them, or forgot the date of sale, well that would hurt but I'd accept it. To not even be given the opportunity is seriously hard to swallow. I am really struggling to believe that 2 thousand non-season ticket holder jack-army members have 58 loyalty points (i.e. have not missed a game, home or away), which is what was required to purchase the first/only batch of tickets.

I hate to sound like a whinging fan boy, but, right now, I feel pretty damn deflated.

I can't stress strongly enough how much I understand the need for the club to give priority to certain people, under what qualifying grounds I can't say but I get it.

What I can't put into words though is how gutted I am. I'm confident if we keep playing as we do we'll stay up, but still, this could be the only time in my lifetime the Swans play Man Utd in the league in my city, and I didn't even get a CHANCE to buy a ticket. I'd say Hull at home will always be a stronger emotion than any win/big team could envoke, but now I guess I'll never find out.

Guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed I can get one for Man Utd away. By no means a formality, it would seem.

Well I put my name on the waiting list for a season ticket (Not that I expected anything), but I never bothered with the Jack Army lottery, new that was never going to get you much, hence why I didn't bother, matter of fact there are quit a few of us Jacks that can't be bothered this season fighting over the poultry 2000 ticket's, that's if there are actually 2000, and as there's live coverage of every game all over Swansea for free, with much cheaper beer than the Liberty, then who the hell cares I don't, I'm enjoying my traditional ale, and watching the game live every week, much cheaper than going to the Liberty, think of what your saving, anyway that's life folks, I did put an article up on this Pre-Season! I've even been offered tickets for games, and refused them, because I'm liking the groove I'm in now..............

Up until this game, the Jack army membership scheme had been excellent. As long as you were on the ball and online at 10.00am exactly to purchase the tickets, there was never a problem.

You're entitled to your opinion, Phil, but having been to the Emirates and Anfield and watched my home team push both footballing "giants" teams close, I can honestly say that the phrase "You should have been there!" has never been so appropriate as it has this season. The atmosphere of these games, just like Wembley, has been electric and Man U will most likely be the same.

Living in the north of England I'm glad I don't have to go through agonies of worry about getting tickets for home games.

When I moved up here Swans were in the basement and I'd travel to exotic places all over to see them: Halifax, Rochdale, Bury, Stockport etc.

Ironically, and not surprisingly, now that they're in the Prem I can't get tickets for games at grounds nearer to me than they are to you!

No chance of a trip to Old Trafford, Anfield or Eastlands for me. Am going to have to do with trying to get tickets to the less fashionable northern Prem teams: Wigan, Bolton, Blackburn here I come!

Yes I now where you coming from apple, as I've been there done it, and got the tea shirt for it, but I really can't be bothered with this ticket mess and issue, I'm quite happy stepping back from all this, and wait until the club resolve the issues of increased demand properly, I'm still seeing the game live, and that's all that matters, there will be plenty of season's to come! Maybe I'll take in a game away at the end of the season, by the way, nothing will compare with Wembley, not even Preston North-end, in 1981.....................

A tale I need to relate from Anfield seeing as we're talking about plastics.

A girl from Swansea wearing a Swans shirt had got her boyfriend a ticket and it turned out the stupid twat supported Liverpool. How do I know you ask?

Well the knobhead raised a Liverpool scarf in the air when they played YNWA and started joining inn!!! Outcome..... He was turned on by fans around him and reported to the stewards. He was taken out, for his own safety before a ball was kicked. His girlfriend was read the riot act too and I saw her leave.

So whilst we're all going to be disgusted that a genuine fan missed out on a ticket at least our fans didn't tolerate it and numpty boy was ejected. I'm sure the same will apply if any fan of Mann Utd is spotted in our ends. I would be the first to report it to the stewards

That is the problem i know a few manure fans who bought a season ticket purely to watch manure and are selling the rest of the games that they don't fancy, which does piss you off but i personally knew i would never get a ticket fir this game and would have to be happy with watching the boys on the box. hopefully will be lucky enough to get a ticket for the following game B-)B-)

Really? If that was me I'd have got fairly nasty with my words when I found that out... If you love Man Utd that much go see them in Old Trafford. Berks.

I guess that's why I'm quite so disappointed. At the season's beginning, with no season ticket, I was content with the knowledge that I would watch them on the box. But now, after being able to attend and support at every game that I could get to, the biggest home game of the season being snatched away is hard to take. Saying that, I've calmed a bit now. The moral superiority that I allow myself, compared to the plastic masses, gives me comfort I guess.

I know of 3 people as i cant call them fans who have bought ST's who's sole purpose is to sell just 5 tickets for the liberty Man utd have been snapped up to over £300+. and they wont sell Arsenal,Chelsea,Man city and Liverpool tickets until the game is due where they will maximise their profits. It is also reported that a syndicate from Ireland bought up to 50 ST to do the same thing we are not the only club by the way that this goes on, other clubs have the same problem. Its scandalous and stops genuin fans from getting their usual ST's that they have bought when we were in the lower leagues...

I find the whole Jack Army scheme a farce. Not being able to get to most home games as I have to fit it round my boy playing on Saturday mornings. Wanted Arsenal tickets as only a couple of hours up the road, and what happens the system can't cope. Gave up trying in the end. Same problem with Bolton, as again club incompetence no mention of when tickets were on sale, only to find out that they were on sale and sold out. As all ready mentioned away games at the un popular grounds for me this year. Emlet, I'll be at Bolton, Fulham and Villa.

Must be frustrating as mentioned how a Jack Army Member with all the points can't get a Man U ticket. There can't be that many people with that many accumulated points. I gather the same happened though for Arsenal as I was told a lot of people who had tickets weren't members.

All I can say is, at least you can go down the pub and watch the games live. Some of us have to try and watch them on the net. Jammy gits!!! LOL.:emoticon-0116-evilg

But dai the people who already had a season ticket had first refusal on renewing it, I know I bought mine February ;) but can understand the resentment to people using this to make money, these tickets should not be transferable and IMO id should be shown with the voucher.
