Dai, where have you seen/heard about the Bent rumour? Did you read it somewhere or have you heard it from within side the club?

Can't imagine we would pay Bent's wage demands, but I don't think he would really fit our style anyway, we need more of a hold up player that can lay the ball off and work with Michu. Most teams learnt how to deal with Bent in that they just dropped a little deeper and without the space to run into he largely became ineffective.

Not sure about the Vorm rumour tbh, seems a bit weird they would go for him now after a bit of an average season (by his standards)

Darren Bent - a good player but with a big wage demand and a bigger ego. Not our type of player.

 

Vorm to Arsenal is an interesting one - they have a goalie that hasn't played in a year keeps two clean sheets and they want to buy Vorm -along with Williams if we believe last week's rumour. Don't know if the Premier is ML's favourite shop as everything there is overpriced - it's a bit like Christmas- you know what you want - even sent your list but there's nothing like the surprise of unwrapping the presents on Christmas morning to see what you REALLY got (unless you were successful in your hunt and found the stash). It's great to hear the rumours but with about a quarter of the season left a little early to give credence to any of them.
It would be great if anyone has an inside line to rumours as ones like Vorm and Williams are talked about all over the web.

 

Don't think he would be able to demand big wages anymore otherwise I think some clubs will tell him to get lost and he'll end up in the championship (if Villa go down).

Getafe midfielder Medhi Lacen has insisted that he is unaware of any interest in him from Premier League side Swansea City.

Reports have surfaced linking Swansea boss Michael Laudrup with a move for the 28-year-old Algeria international, who is primarily a defensive midfielder.

However, Lacen is refusing to consider his future before the end of the current season and claims to have no knowledge of any interest from the Swans, although he admits that he would love to play in the Premier League one day.

 

If like to know why Dai's insulting posts on a thread he's started just so he can bring up the subject of Liverpool targeting our players are being allowed to stand ?

Damned if you do or damned if you don't. Now what would you mods like to happen next ? I thought we were all going to show more respect to each other from now on and there has been no name calling except for Dai's posts. So do I retaliate or will one of you sort him and his posts out ? Seems the Liverpool fans are less than delighted about the prospect of getting Ash, if you read the comments. In fact some of them are downright insulting - about Ash, Rodgers, Joe Allen and Borini. It seems they regard Swansea and anything to do with us with complete contempt.

It makes me even more angry now about that bunch of stiffs we fielded who conceded 5 goals to them. After reading those comments, I want nothing more than to smash them next season and, from previously respecting the club, I hope they crash and burn in the future.

The overwhelming impression I got was that Liverpool fans have a very inflated opinion of themselves and their ONCE high profile club. For all the money they have spent, they are not that far above us in the table. For all the trophies they boast, they didn't get one this season. We did.

I hope that Ash stays with us and rams their opinions where the sun don't shine. Not much class about that lot that's for sure.

 

What class they had as a club has is slowly disappearing , t shirts for racists come on. .

I wouldn't be surprised if Ash goes , him being a life long fan and that but not without a large wedge heading our way.
Everyone replaceable so I;m not too concerned just hope who goes is replaced early in pre season .
