Best keep our fingers crossed that nothing comes of it and Taylor makes the right choice and stays at Swansea, besides doesn't he have another 2 years left on his contract?

Alright lads, don't know much about Taylor, but going by your posts I'm guessing you rate him highly????

Yes! Came from non league football, held down the LB position last year. Pivotal in why Scotty got so many goals, also got picked for Wales, very young at 22, and would be very gutted if he decided to leave us. Can't really see him leaving though tbh, unless of course you offer him stupid wages.

    Too true,

Therefore I think you should boycott this bid for Taylor, seeing as you know how we feel, and buy someone else lol.

But in all seriousness, IF your manager is buying him just as back-up for another LB, I think Taylor should be made well aware of this IF we accept the bid. I'd hate to see such a young, promising talent have to sit on the bench, week in, week out.

But as stated, I really can't see him going tbh.

For me the unsavory side of the new look mercenary football and team building is springing prized players out of a
settled team by the lure of ££'s. I blame the mega£ and agents looking for their pound of flesh and green/gullible
young players who don't know better. The sad fact is nearly every player will always want to move on and improve
their lot with the grass always seemingly greener and their careers so short there's an urgency to coin it in - make
hay whilst the sun shines. Doesn't mean we have to like it.

Do we know who Taylors agent is? Hopefully he´s someone sound.

Personally I´d say it makes a lot more sense for Taylor to stay with us, he knows the team, we gave him his break and it´d be better for his footballing education to stick with us for another 6 months to a year at least.

I would be gutted to see him go.

Especially after reading some Toon fans would only see him warm a bench.

I think if Taylor does go he will live to regret it as so many players leaving for pastures new have found out!!

If he´s got a 1 million release clause, that is the most stupid thing the current administration have done since taking charge. There´s no reason why he, or any player in the Championship, should have a release clause that low. Play well for a year in that league and you´re worth anything up to 5mil, so I´d be very, very disappointed if it´s true.

We all look at the transfer as fans of Swansea.

Just stand in Neil Taylors shoes for a second

Newcastle are a huge club with a massive following. They could probably offer more in wages than we ever could. Neil is not from Swansea hes only been here for a year he might not have made a connection with our club like some of the olders players would have

Im worried he might be going!

It doesn't seem true because your chairman is considering the bid. If he had a release clause he'd have no say in the matter.

Most NUFC fans see Neil Taylor as a potential starter, but it all depends on Jose, if he goes Taylor will be first choice, but if he stays Taylor will be back-up to Enrique.

This is what I´m clinging on to! Before it was just that idiot in the Mirror spouting off, now it´s official I´m a little worried!

CopperQuarterJack, I know he´s only been here a year but he´s pretty much dead cert to be our first choice left back next year, in the Premiership. However much he´d make by taking a bigger pay packet would be negated with 6 months good performances, because he´d either then be able to command a salary higher again, or because his stock would rise so much we´d have to throw money at him to keep him. I genuinely think it´s in his best interest to stay, but I´m not Neil Taylor, so there you go!

We want to keep Taylor but if making three quarters of a million is the worst case scenario , so be it . Staying with us is best for us & him IMO . He'll play & learn more with us is my thinking .

    FAO Newcastle fans.

Neil Taylor's average time on the pitch per game is about 2 minutes as he likes to put his studs in an opponent's groin early on. He'd be no good for you. <ok>
