Right looking back at the summer Sven did buy us some very good players (Nugent, Schmeichel, Mills, Peltier) I think Mills has done well but the massive price tag on his head has made the expectations massive and maybe why some people see him as a bit of a flop, apart from his discipline he has done well in most games. There was pointless signings like Johnson and Pantsil and then ones that havent lived up to their standards at previous clubs (Danns, Beckford)

    But where was Svens errors?

Not signing a winger was one of them. He had the chance to sign Wayne Routledge by the sounds of things but he didnt take it. Rumours where he was looking at Jimmy Kebe and Max Gradel but nothing came of it.

Too many centre midfielder. He signed Danns, Johnson and Fernandes. Gave Wellens, King, Moussa and Oakley new contracts with Yuki already here aswell

Not getting a striker. It took him 2 minutes before the deadline to get a striker in. We was all crying out for a striker all summer, we had the chance to sign Yakubu but he wasnt keen on paying the wages, and how Yak is doing at Blackburn it looks like it may have been a mistake not getting the Yak back. Because we waited so long it took Beckford longer to settle into the club and you could argue he still hasnt settled in. He went after Maynard all summer and the truth was he wasnt interested. He made that desperate attempt for Nikica Jelavic just before the deadline day by bidding 6.5M.

Last seasons loans. He built last season squad too much around the loans and when none of them returned we had to rebuild a whole squad from scratch. He said Kyle Naughton was too expensive to bring back and we accepted that and then he broke the bank to bring in Matt Mills. Lee Peltier has done a very good job but Naughton was one of our main attacking outlets last season and we have missed him going forward.

They are where i think Svens main mistakes where and Nigel is having to try and rectify them now. Where else do you think Sven went wrong?

I don't know, the way I feel is that we could have signed Messi, Rooney and Ronaldo and we'd still be no better off, I think the football gods just don't like us! But then again Man City didn't gel straight away and they ain't doing too badly now (he says clutching at straws!)

Whats the point of inquests and hindsight? were does it take us now? the real problems are sacking managers on a regular basis..squad upheaval.. no set pattern of play and attitude. Everybody was saying we had one of the strongest squads in the division...there is a big attitude problem among our squad...we lack character at the moment, chopping and changing has contributed to this. asses need kicking big time..
