http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1395002/leiceter-set-pinch-Wayne-Routledge-QPRs-noses.html **** off Sven.
I really couldn't care less, Routledge made it clear he didn't want to stay with us by pleading his case through his agent that he still wanted to play for Newcastle. He left us in the first place for them and if he did want to play for us then it would have been sorted a long time ago. Plus nobody thinks he's good enough for the Prem.
All about money. ================================== Sven set to pinch Routledge from under QPR's noses By Sami Mokbel Last updated at 11:56 PM on 6th June 2011 Comments (0) Add to My Stories Share Leicester are set to hijack Queens Park Rangers' move for Wayne Routledge. The winger is free to leave Newcastle this summer and was expected to complete a permanent move to Loftus Road after spending the final few months their last season. On the move: Wayne Routledge (right) will leave Newcastle this summer On the move: Wayne Routledge (right) will leave Newcastle this summer QPR manager Neil Warnock remains keen on striking a deal with Newcastle to bring Routledge to West London on a full-time basis after he played a key role in the club's top-flight promotion. But Foxes boss Sven-Goran Eriksson hopes to tempt the former Aston Villa forward into swapping the Premier League for the Championship. Routledge has always considered himself a Premiership player (even if others have not). Can't see him going to Leicester unless he sees them as such dead cert for promotion, that he be a fool to turn it down - in which case he'd be certifiable, given that there's every chance that West Ham and Birmingham will take the automatic promotion places in 2011/12, and Leeds, Forest, Reading, Cardiff etc will be contesting for a play-off place.
Given everything Routladge has ever said about wanting to play in the Premiership, all he needs to do gto achieve that is sign on the dotted line. He'll never get a better opportunity to shine in the top flight than he will with us next season. And fwiw, he's not tweeted anything recently apart from his holiday trip and wanting to get into pre-season training.
and wanting to get into pre-season training. Did he sate which team he wanted to start pre-season with?
Leicester fan in peace.. I just read that story and I wouldn't be surprised if it's complete ****e. I know he is basically a yo-yo footballer. He can't decide if he is good enough for the prem but he is immense in the Championship. We're basically now in a position where we can buy the league so I think we'll offer much higher wages than you will. So, basically it's down to him. It'll be another sad day for football if he chooses us though, money rules the game now and i'm not exactly chuffed that Leicester have taken that option too. Good luck in the Prem, you we're too good for us all this season
An honest assessment, Andy. If your club has the wealth and the desire to bring in good players, then as fans, you should ride the crest of that wave. We did once...

I work next door to a gym, who's assistant manager is Routledge's next door neighbour. She says he wants to sign but there's an issue over his signing on fee and his agent (in the region of £52k).
Why would anyone believe what is (poorly) written in the mail. Quote: The winger is free to leave Newcastle this summer and was expected to complete a permanent move to Loftus Road after spending the final few months their (THERE) last season. As thick as pig**** and gets a job on a national newspaper. **** me! What happened to ENGLISH?
