Is apparently now fav for Forest job not Hoddle. Is this guy a great manager or just over hyped? Didn't do wonders for England or man City or Leicester. Huge gamble imo, Views
Or Mexico or Ivory Coast. Basically he's still living off his success at Lazio. I don't think he commands enough respect from his players and I think this is mainly because he's rarely on the same wavelength. He doesn't play the English way.
It seems he follows money, he knows either way success or fail he will get paid well. These clubs all have rich owners/national backing so I don't blame him for taking the offers if they come his way.
You say that, but our first quarter final since he left was only this year. That's one quarter final in about 6 years.
He only had to beat Ecuador. People talk about his impressive record, but he just beat a load of poor teams. We could have won those games without a manager.
He's a football parasite. He bleeds money out of wherever he goes and gets rewarded (financially) for failure. He's scum.
Just like we beat Macedonia? or Montenegro? Sorry, Joe but England are **** so beating Ecuador is quite an achievement in itself. During the 2006 world cup he knew he was going to be sacked because of having an affair with some woman so he wasn't really bothered. We did okay in 2002 and 2004 though (by English standards).
That team we had should have destroyed Ecuador. We all love to put the national team down in this country but that squad he had was packed full of world class players. We dominated qualifiers as usual, because with all respect to our opponents, they just didn't have the players to compete with us. Then we got to the World Cup and limped through two rounds, because when it came to actually needing good management, we didn't have it.

But like I said, he knew he was gonna be sacked so he was clearly not bothered (hence his odd squad selections) so it's more fair to base your view on Sven on 2002 and 2004. Plus, a lot of the players in 2006 were the same ones who did bugger all in 2008 and 2010 under McLaren and Capello respectively (Terry, Lampard, Rio, Gerrard, etc) so maybe it's simply that the players aren't as good as people think they are.
I really dont give a **** who becomes forest boss as long as no new name is linked with it giving lamballana the excuse to create another thread
Interesting to see how they back him in the market. Personally I reckon he'll be gone before Christmas.
