    TWO French-speaking players did the business for QPR against Arsenal – and a third who never set foot on the pitch also played his part.

    Boss Mark Hughes revealed Djibril Cissé (pic) wasn’t left to idle his time away on Saturday despite serving the first of a four-game suspension.

    The striker was required to translate for Samba Diakté, and did it to some effect when the Parisian thrashed home a debut goal that turned out to be the winner.

    Hughes was also thanking his lucky stars he followed up a transfer list in January that made his eyes open when it flopped on his desk.

    “I was aware of Samba for 12 months or so,” he said, “saw his name on a list and said goodness me – we need to do something about that.

    “We did a bit more homework and liked what we heard, and Cissé translates for him. He had nothing to do today so he had time to do that.”

    The Rs boss reckons home form will probably determine whether Rangers beat the drop, that and a mercurial Moroccan who hit his first Premier League goal with aplomb before donning a fez handed to him by a fan.

    However, although Hughes was willing to take his hat off to Adel Taarabt for his goal and a glittering performance against the Gunners, the midfielder was warned he still has a way to go before he joins the ranks of the great.

    The manager added: “Adel’s got undoubted talent – he just needs to harness it. If he listens to what coaches and managers say he will undoubtedly be a top player.”

    Another useless journo trying to conjure a report out of nothing. I think I need Cisse to translate this one, it's not written in English.
