Now a lot can happen in a few months, but Im very disappointed if the news in Tutosports is accurate and Suso has agreed terms with AC Milan. In my eyes Suso has the potential to be one of our best and most versatile players yet we have not signed him up and now are on the verge of losing him for free next summer. All i can hope is that he gets sufficient game time to earn further opportunities and satisfy his thirst for game time. Very happy with BR's work, but think he has missed a trick here. Lallana cost us 25m, yet we are going to let a younger player with greater potential go for nothing. Cant see any logic in this dealing. Hope its all just part of the unsettling process by the Italian media. Anyone who suggests that Suso is just the new Dani Pacheco needs their head examined.
Makes no sense. Send him on loan, don't let him go for free ffs. At least let him have a go in the first 11
i think in fairness you cannot make a guy sign anything...HOWEVER.... i think if he was not made sign up for 2/3 years prior to the loan last year that is the mistake. IF suso doesn't want to sign here theres nothing we can do but he'd been here for a long time so going to milan is his choice and we can't get moeny its a pity.
Many of you will probably know this already but I'm convinced Suso is one of the players brod was talking about when he questioned mental attitude before. Letting him leave for free is crazy but if he's not part of the plans then giving him a new contract is equally crazy!
oh i must add..... i like him a lot but he is not a player whos got a bes tposition so to even compare to lallana is hare. is he a top of the right player of an acm?
Doesn't the Bosman ruling mean terms can only be agreed 6 months before expiry of contract? If so, with a year left to run, if he has talked and agreed with AC Milan, has he been tapped-up?
Managing a large squad is a problem admittedly, but from the U21s and U18s there have been two standout players and I believe that Suso had a simlar potential level as Sterling. More definately should have been done. Just hope he gets some game time and it is enough to keep him here. He wont of course be signing any pre-contracts or such until January at the earliest.
Id like to disagree, but if someone is looking at getting away after only 3 weeks out of the match day squad then maybe he is showing a weakness?
i would agree totally. I feel there's just a question that if you could say here is his position, here is his competition then what.. but i don't know his best position. It ought to be central but it seems it might be wider right now.
Ive never understood why he is always outwide. I remember when he first came to tge club his vision, intellugence and passing range suggested he was going to replace alonso. Yet he has never had tge opportunity centrally
I've always thought Tex looked more promising than Suso. Not that I've seen much of Tex playing. But based on the few glimpses...
teixteria is a "stumptious" player in my view. he's a really a nice player but hey duran was a great little player too and it wall went wrong
