There’s a high chance it is. But it could also be a number of teams. Could even be Everton. FFP and this sponsorship stuff needs ratified legally. Where is NDM.
We should keep sticking by the rules. They have been abusing the sponsorship deals for years and should be punished for it. They are playing in a competition, and ar part of an organisation that sets the rules for that competition. They need to stick by them. What all clubs should be fighting for is the right for owners to invest in their own club to what ever level they wish as long as it doesn't affect the potential sustainability of the club. The way the rules are now written and applied could potentially detract investment in a club, and reduce the flow of money into the league. Its actually harder now for clubs to become successful, because of the FFP rules, which means that investors are less likely to consider buying the smaller clubs.
I think that’s what they are complaining about mind. The FFP rules are restrictive. Whether that was the intention or not. As you say owners should be allowed to put as much money into their own asset as they like. Provided they don’t asset strip it. Auditors can levy control on that.
All these rule changes are getting ridiculous now and it's just the American bastardisation of the sport. They were never ever going to get their own way in domestic leagues with no relegation, so they've set about manipulating the rules to ensure they sit at the top table and make it almost impossible for others to break in. It's even worse than the NFL as if you have a proper **** season there, at least you get first pick in the draft.
