Bristol City Supporters' Club & Trust.

    September News Letter.

    Dear Derrick
News today of a couple of dates for you diary, a request for photos of John Atyeo, a pointer to our recent submission to Bristol Sport on stadium consultation matters and the long overdue unveiling of a new website for the Supporters Club & Trust!

    Atyeo Statue
As you will be aware, we have been raising funds for some time for a statue to honour John Atyeo. That fund-raising is well advanced (although it's still not too late to donate and get your name on the statue plinth) and we now need your help in choosing the best image of the great man to give to the sculptor as the basis for the statue. Find out how you can help here.

    Hall of Fame
In September 2012 at an event in the Dolman Exhibition Hall, an initial 11 players were inducted into the Bristol City Supporters Club & Trust Hall of Fame. Following fans' nominations last season, 9 more players are to be inducted on October 11th. Details here.

    New website
Following the merger of the Supporters Club and Supporters Trust two years ago, it quickly became evident that we needed a new website to reflect the enlarged organisation and to make our web presence fit for the age of smartphones and tablets. It has taken some time, but, having recently engaged the services of Bristol-based web developers hello future, we are now pleased to announce the launch of our new site. Please take a look and let us know what you think: bristolcitysupporters.org

    Stadium consultation
In response to the request from Bristol Sport for ideas for the final look and feel of the redeveloped Asthon Gate, we provided input that touched on some general issues of stadium ownership and pricing, as well as specific design ideas like an unmistakable ‘home end’, family area, smokers’ facility, flag storage, street art and the Atyeo statue. Details here.

Q&A in Crewe with Steve and Jon Lansdown
We are currently arranging another in our series of occasional Q&A sessions aimed in particular at exiled fans unable to attend similar events in Bristol. This time Steve Lansdown and John Pelling have kindly agreed to take fans' questions ahead of the game at Crewe on December 20th. So please note the date in your diary and look out via e-mail, social media and on our website for final details of venue and time.

    And finally...
The supporter who has to date bought 16 programmes on our behalf at each away game for the keen collectors in our programme club is unfortunately no longer able to do so. If you regularly attend away matches and are willing to help us continue this service (if only on a trial basis), we would be very grateful. Please contact [email protected] for more details.

    Regards,

    Stu Rogers
