The last 9 weeks have been horrendous as a Newcastle fan, well even more horrendous then the normal drivel we are usually subjected to. I myself put a £10.00 bet on Newcastle to be relegated immediately after the 5under1and loss at 100/1! This was probably out of anger and disappointment as opposed to a genuine belief that we would go down. However it is now looking like a realistic prospect. But do I really want £1000.00 for Nufc to go down, easy answer, NO! Survival is beyond my control and would numb the pain somewhat, but if I had a firm choice then it would be Premier league survival.
The performance of the players on Saturday was dire and it has been for weeks and even some of the players it’s been years! They get paid thousands of pounds weekly and are professionals, so they should be able to cope with a bit of criticism, but that it clearly not working so what I am proposing is Every NUFC fan attends WBA at home Saturday and they don’t stop singing. We don’t stop supporting the players, the team, the subs and yes even the inept coaching staff. 3 points for safety, something we are capable of and still well within our control.
I don’t care about Ashley, Charley, Carver all I want is to see our team compete in the premier league next year and if that means 90 minutes of singing our hearts out in support of a bunch of mercenaries, then it’s something I would be willing to do. I don’t want to cut my nose to spite my face and I don’t want relegation to just in Spite of Ashley, thinking it may hit his bank balance or the stupid idea that he will leave, So I Urge all fans to attend, sing, support their team and do as much as possible to provide a platform for our players to obtain 3 points and premier league survival. The alternative, MK Dons away next year, an exodus of players leaving and little chance of a revival or Premier league football for what could be a period of years! Forget Ashleyout for one week, Relegation of our team isn’t worth it, especially when we know his weakness is Sports Direct, something more should be done to focus our attention to that area of his business. Relegation is a cost that I as a fan am not prepared to face just to make a small dent in Mike Ashleys Wallet. Attend, Sing, Don’t get on the players back, Support them, make them aware, whether you believe its deserved or not is not the point, do it so we have a platform to start something new next year, with a new manager and new players.

But we have been singing all ****ing season to no avail. They dont give a monkeys and they are just not good enough. If you put our best 11 up against any other teams best 11 then there is only one outcome, WE LOSE every time. We have a few decent players, but in 11 vs 11 we are fecked!! I think Ashley knows nowt about football so he listens to people who have generated a profit for him. That is his only criteria for expertise. That is how HIS business works! But that model does not work in sport, never has, never will !! But he so far down the line with this idea that he can not go back, he would lose face. Factor in the fact that we have massively pisssed him off into the equation, and you come to the conclusion that he is willing to let us be relegated. He will just blame the fans for turning against the club as the reason for our relegation. Stay up or Go down, it does not matter, he has this club by the bolllocks!

The only problem I have with this - It'll be a library as usual. Attending a game and sitting in silence isn't supporting to me. It's merely attending to show your face. Supporting is making noise.

Here! Here! Believe it or not we are more likely to be rid of Ashley as premier league club than a championship club. Relegation would be a disaster and should be avoided at all costs and if that means forgetting about Ashely for one ****ing weekend then I'm all for it!!

Relegation really would be a ****ing disaster mate. Alot of our fans seem to think Ashley will **** off but he won't. He will give it a few years after and when he does eventually leave he will strip mine the place that has any value whatsoever and I mean anything and everything.

I think the collective in the Cathedral of St James just need to give it a shot. Not for any higher purpose, not to second guess the git at the top or his monkeys beneath him, but to just enjoy it for what it is. Money's already paid, might as well put another point across. Ashley et al are well aware of the hatred, they know they're doing a poor job with the club. We might as well go the other way and remind them, over just 3 matches, what they've been sh1tting on all this time.

I'm not saying fans havent been doing there part for the majority of the season, Especially away from home. But at home, the last few weeks, the silence, the booing and the protests, as a player im sure this must have some effect, is it warrented, yes, however as a collective we do need to stand together and create some cohesion, even if it effects the opposing team for instance. Mike will not leave whilst the value in his asset is low, meaning championship football means Newcastle will not be sold. Constant noise, encouraging neighbouring fans to cheer, start singing songs, as individuals we have a responsibility.

I created an article and submitted it to the mag, just to gain as much exposure as possible, but we all need to show our support for one reason, Premier league survival and not a complete free fall down the leagues. If anyone thinks players are going to want to join next season in the championship your sadly mistaken, the same with a manager. We will be stuck with Carver and if thats the case i could see it being Blackpool all over again.

What do you think support will be like if we are 18 in the championship, its bad enough being 14/15th in the prem!

Your right man, there is no way he is going to make a loss on his investment. Our best chance is to get behind the team and get the win that is needed and rebuild in the summer. It will be interesting to see whether or not these "major signings" we have been linked with recently come off.

I emailed the ashleyout bunch with the same thing and have used some of the Chron's response feeds to do the same. 90 minutes of "We want Charnley/Ashley out" has got to be better than the pointless silence!

Once you cut the swears and the x-rated insults, you wouldn't get the required word minimum.

Protests should never be done inside the stadium on a match day, in my opinion.

The cliché of '12th man' means more in your region than any other region in this country, you lot can actually make a difference, I've seen it before, I've seen us come to bits at St James' Park under rapturous noise from your fans. If you showed that type of support it would shake WBA to the core. The formula for that sort of noise usually involves some sort of fight from your players though and therein lies the problem for you.

One question... Can Ashley assume control of Rangers if you're in the Championship... Is that the objective for him? I'm not sure on the rules.

Maybe he's going for it, to acquire Rangers.
