Another great performance tonight. You can tell from recent weeks that the stress is really getting to our Nige and what he needs more than anything is our support. Unfortunately, we dont appear to be at home again until 14th march (do we know when Chelsea is?) so when away we really need to sing our support for him as an individual. Just need a win to get the ball rolling again, we certainly have it in us. Kramaric has his first and Huth is a massive f**king german. We can do this boys I believe.
... and what's even better ... Nigel Pearson has changed his name to Dances With Wolves ... and Kevin Costner has already proven that with that name you can defeat almost impossible odds ...
1. No **** Sherlock. 2. With a turning circle of an oil tanker, I'd love to see him and Morgan attempting to cope with N'Doye and Jelavic. 3. Nice try but no you can't. 4. You're on your own.
2. What was the result at the KC? ... how many goals has Jelavic scored this season? If we can replicate performances like last night's we have a very good chance of survival - Arsene Wenger was most complimentary describing us as having played the best of the sides at the wrong end of the table ... A long way to go yet ... PS who are you playing at the weekend?
Well the fact that Jela has been injured for much of the season hasn't helped, it should also be added that, up until the arrival of N'Doye, he's struggled as the lone forward (of any note) in the team. I have no worries about Jela as a goal scorer, especially after witnessing his performance last night alongside the Dame. In a way I hope that you do survive Fosse, those 'unlucky' losses at places like The Emirates all add to the entertainment. Talking of goal scorers, how's Ulloa doing? PS Arse Wenger is only EVER complimentary when his team wins
Ulloa is doing fine - given that the service has been intermittent at best - he's currently on nine in total 7 in the league and 2 in the cup (both against Prem opposition) ... hoping that him and Kramaric spark as a partnership ... I'm optimistic because of who he has scored against rather than just the numbers ... Arsenal, Man United, Liverpool, Spurs (twice - different games), Newcastle, Villa, Stoke ... give him the ball in the right area and he will hit the target ...
In all honesty Fosse I'm glad we're out of the cup. We were never going to get to the final 2 years running and the rate we're picking up injuries we can do without the extra games. Good luck though.
To be honest it was going to be very difficult for you to progress given the draw you had ... but for us the cup is probably a confidence booster and incentive right now - we've knocked out two Prem sides in Newcastle and Spurs and even allowing for team changes etc - that has to give us some confidence ... the fact that we now have Villa and that both of us are desperate for 'wins' means the cup run could be a barometer to our survival prospects this season - purely my personal view - but if we were to win on Sunday we would be a game away from a trip to Wembley with a huge confidence boost to boot - in contrast the pressure at villa would be at popping point - which, selfishly, we really need to happen ... indeed not just with the Villa - with all our relegation rivals.
My only concern with us potentially winning on Sunday, is that Villa sack Lambert and Villa go through the 'New Manager' syndrome and buck their ideas up and start winning again. Similar to what's happened at Palace and West Brom and what could be happening at QPR, I know '1 Swallow doesn't make a summer' but it could be what QPR needed. Perversely it could be what we need as well, Bl00dy hell what am I saying It would be stupid to sack Pearson at this point in the season.
People who don't want to be in the cup always say that when they're out of it. Funny that. Especially strange given that the cup was so helpful for you last season.
Do you think you're being clever or something? If we were to sack him the best options are Laudrup, Sherwood and Mowbray. We're far better with Nige as yesterday proved.
Now I know you've lost it. Other than the obvious first Wembley Final, all it was helpful for last season was hiding the fact that after New Year our league form went over the edge of a cliff wearing concrete boots. A point a game before New Year, less than 0.75 after.
