He tells the truth!! Sorry bud, didnt mean to insult you but it gets people to read the thread and to me this thread needs reading!!

Statement by the above mentioned Budgie

Too many old players signed, one last pay day and golf holidays to look forward to.....You lot need young hungry blood to come in, not Ellington Bullard etc.....

    Spotty ****ing dog i say!!

We was linked to so many decent looking up and coming players from lower leagues but ended up with old dogs from poor prem teams.

People say that we have made massive steps because we have signed so many new players but look at how much we have spent in bringing in those new players........

There is a saying ' You get what you pay for ' most of our signings cost nothing......

Nah I'm not having that. It's a thing called hindsight. If in May you'd told me we'd have players like Stockdale, Collins, Bullard, Chopra I'd have bitten your hand off.

:kiss:I have swear blocker on SPANISH, i m actually in Ipswich now at my old mans house and compared to Stratford its bloody nice here..... Anyhooo, These 30 plus players only really have one or two seasons in them and often lose the desire and heart to perform. They know its their final move and have one eye on that holiday home in Spain... We have the youngest squad in the prem so these boys will work hard to get to as higher level as possible for Lambo, and if they don t they get sent to Coventry.
You have only just started this season so Jewell may pull a rabbit out of his arse but it don t look good at the moment....
I m sure you lot will be all over our boards if we screw up tomorrow but rivalry aside, i would rather Ipswich offered us a challenge.

What makes this whole thread a load of old bollocks is that we were beaten today by a side with a 34 year old and a 38 year old up front <doh>

**** me the goals we conceded had nothing to do with that. They were both smashed in from within the penalty box while everyone looked on hapless like statues. By all accounts we played bloody well first half and the finishing let us down.

    Lancs

Its not only about keeping the ball out of the net, its also about putting the ****ing ball in the net, by all accounts we didn't create much yesterday.
I don't know where you heard we played bloody well first half because i heard it was all rather drab and Blackpool should have been at least 1 up!! Not only that, the game is two halves long not one!!

A strike force with a combined age of 72 is not the solution, just because Blackpool managed it

Spanish you are mistaking not forcing a save with not creating chances.

Have to agree with Hamps here, at the end of last season to say we'd have Bowyer, Bullard, Chopra, JET and Collins on board, as well as Stocky, I'd have been well and truly chuffed. Okay, so Bowyer is playing gash, and JET has blown hot and, more often, cold, not to mention other players performing badly, but we can all sit and be clever with hindsight.

As i've said before i think this season will take time to get going with so many new faces its is bound too, it amazes me how some people change views on the strength of only a few results, if we are still struggling at Christmas(which i don't think we will be)then by all means sulk and winge about things.

    Quite right Weighty.

Everybody seems to expect us to be doing brilliant atm but as i predicted we are having a very indifferent start. Reasons for this are we have had to bring in a whole new team and pretty quick, imagine where we would be if we hadn't of signed the player we have. And there aren't really many of those signing that you think their rubbish or that is a waste of money, yes most of them may be older but he also has signed a couple of players who potentially could be brilliant for us in Cresswell and JET. I'm sure in an ideal world and if given the chance Jewell will try to get some gems from the lower leagues in the future. I think before the summer we had nothing to build upon, now at least we have the base of a decent squad and now we can build upon it.

Alot of our new signings for whatever reason haven't been match fit due to not having a pre season or injury. By all means if we continue to play how we are playing now in a couple of months then we should be worried but give the team a chance to gell first.

I'm not a big fan of Jewell playing 4 CM's as seems neither is everyone else but we do seem to have a lack of natural wide players. This is a concern though I think because it appears that he wants to play probably the 4 players with the biggest ego's and try to fit them all in i.e Bullard, Andrews, Leadbitter and Bowyer.

I believed that we would have an indifferent start to the season and because of the personnel PJ has recruited and how much patience fans gave to Keane of which as I was worried about now that patience seems to have run out with the club people are becoming restless. Lets not forget we cannot blame Jewell for the IMO unneccessary transition period under Keane and the very neccessary transition period now.

Spanish you were sooo patient with Keane as were many of the fans and I believe due to his failings to achieve success alot of fans including yourself seem to have far less patience with Jewell when IMO we need to be much more patient as he sorts out the mess and give him a chance to build a settled side. Perhaps your thinking is "I supported Keane wanting to give him a full 2 years and now looking in hindsight we shouldn't have, which means as things aren't good now we should get rid of Jewell before its too late"?

My prediction of starting indifferently appears to have come true I hope the rest of what I said comes true in that the 2nd half of the season we will push for a late surge toward the playoffs. We need to be patient, yes there are concerns but we certainly have more to build upon that we had this time last season, lets wait until we have a more settled side before we pass a proper judgement.

Thats half the problem, we don't have a settled side because Jewell keeps changing it and also the formation!!!
