Week 4 lads, get your challenges in as early as poss please, to give your defender a chance to respond. New boy at the foot of the table, means Ron is no longer bottom! And our Number One, Brough gets another challenge. Following on from last week's slight dilema of avoiding the same people unsuccessfully challenging each week, I've got an idea which I'll run past you after this weeks results. 1. Brough Tiger 2. Bucks C 3. Redcgull 4 Reebok C 5. Chaninbar 6. Oddy C 7. Stick 8. Uncle Cracker C 9. Smokethedeadbadger 10. Havinacow C 11. Steveo77 12. Sir Percy C 13. Wooly 14. Cityhull C 15. Boston Bob 16. Mwildcats C 17. Ron 18. Bluesky C Hennessy Gold Cup is the target race, selections are assumed 2pt win unless EW specified, NR's unless amended before the off, will be the same bet on the fav, or 2nd fav if fav is unavailable. And as always, good luck all
Surprising, thought it would be Invictus all day long for you. Triolo D' Alene EW for me please Reebs.
The money's down on Invictus Chan but this is just for fun so I've put up my 2nd fancy in the race. Best of luck mate
Fair enough Oddy, I know you've been keen on Invictus for a while. He could make a mockery of this in that he could be a very smart horse and well handicapped. I see King has this one and Batonnier coming back from long lay offs tomorrow.
Reebs as the new boy can I ask how it all works? I understand Ron has to put up a selection first and then I do. Is it simply who produces a greater return for their 2pt win or 1pt ew stake?
You are the Challenger Blue, so you nominate first, 2pt win or 1pt ew. Ron then has to better your result but can't choose the same horse. Good luck
You will no doubt note Blue, that most are going EW. This is because it gives a better chance of a return. When we get a race less wide open, you will see the win bets to out of the woodwork! Wooly's selection is Imperial Commander EW
Yes Spotted that Reebs, the big field will have so many unscoring horses just best get some points by your name. Huge advantage to go first as well.
Ok Blue I'll go Hadrian's Approach ew. Was to be on the nose but as you've gone ew I'd be daft not to
I have backed 3 and like last week will probably chose the wrong one to put up on here while the other one wins, so here goes: HIGHLAND LODGE e/w
I went win only on Gevrey Chambertin last week fellas. And we know how that turned out! I've not got a clue about tomorrow though. I'd strongly with a capital S fancy Lavelle's horse, Highland Lodge, if she'd not got an extra 4lbs on his back for no apparent reason by letting him run at Wincanton. As it is i think this race is a total crap shoot and almost all of them have a winning chance. I look forward to seeing Cats' selection.
