A tricky day this one, as I was absent all day and couldn't keep tabs on NR's and no shows.

Danish was a no-show, so three points each to City and Blue, who's first choices as written down were what I went with which means Blue got a return as well as the points. (Did you PAY Danish to stay away?)

My own challenger was a NR with no reserve, so under the rules my choice becomes the fav (or second fav, if the fav has already been taken) Fortunate for me then as the fav won - sorry Chan - but Storm Survivor would have pissed it anyway <laugh>

Oddy remains Top Oddog, while Uncle has slipped to 3rd on goal difference to the re-emerging Wooly. Bottom three next week are Danish <monster> :bandit::bandit::bandit::bandit::bandit::bandit: plus Red and Jamba.

Next week's target in due course.

I think the term is cruising with a double handful whilst all around are rowing along Ron. The commentators are remarking on not so much that he hasn't moved a muscle but that he hasn't even twitched, just getting ready to take off the first pair of goggles and press the button. Just got to hope I do not get stuck in traffic as those that went too fast drop back through the field whilst sending out requests for oxygen.

Actually I am away for many Saturday's at present and did not want to spoil the comp by being a no show. I figured it may end after Cheltenham or Aintree.

The devil finds work for empty hands Ron .... <devil>

The reason it will be difficult for me to go on longer, is that racing season has just started in my own sport, which means I have to drive about all over the place having alcohol fuelled long weekends, with often just my phone to access the internet on. It's a bitch, I know, but someone has to do it.

I'm away the coming weekend, so I'll see how difficult it may be, and whether or not I can run the season on a bit longer, although to be fair, once the flat racing kicks in the jumps scene becomes a bit scrappy, so Aintree would probably be a final cut-off anyway?

And I'm sure someone will organise something for the lesser festival, like Punchy, Aintree, Ascot, York, Goodwood etc ............... won't they?
