    Friday 23rd Jan 7.55pm BBC1, Babe station 2.

The FA decided no other teams are worth it, so this game is the final.
9 times winners Cambridge (thats 2 more than the dippers) take on 11 times winners UTD

Will LvG play his world famous 3-5-2 or go for the pointless 4-4-2 used by other less interesting teams, but he may go for the Routemaster FC formation of 9-1, to combat the threat of Cambridge's super strikers.

Do you have to ask? LVG will go for 3-5-2 unless he is forced to drop it. Injuries to defenders or similar....

I can see big trouble ahead...:bandit:

Back pass, side pass, stop, back pass, side pass, 10 touches, cuppa tea anyone, side pass, stop, back pass, 10 touches, side pass, back pass

But it's alright lads bcos playing badly and winning is all good <ok>

If you're willing to settle for that pile of **** then standards really have fallen. THAT was as bad as anything under Moyes...and he didnt have this squad. If this season is what football under Van Gaal will be like, bloody hell slash your wrists now.

Rubbish performance. LVG cannot be happy. The players and fans cannot be happy. United being held by a side like Cambridge.

But the silver lining (a damn thin one ) is that it could have been worse. United could have been booted out of the comp. And the replay is at OT. And the team is still in. A combination of dreadful finishing and bad luck gave Cambridge a well deserved replay which may give them £1.5m. It is not as if United have got a full diary is it? :bandit:

EDIT: When I saw the Matth thread in addition to this, I knew we were doomed...what the **** have the mods been doing ? <whistle>

    Wow! Just Wow!

And they say that the FA Cup is dead!

Cambridge played with heart and determination and courage and energy and fully deserved the replay. I have seen them play teams like Lewes and Eastbourne Borough and Southport in the wilderness years of the conference. This is a great reward and a replay will guarantee the survival of this club!

    Thank you!

Enjoy the money mate! In fact in pure financial terms this result is probably much better than a win.

As a West Ham fan that has seen his side knocked out of the FA cup by such footballing giants like Torquay and Wrexham, you should count yourself lucky. For you it was a tricky tie, but just a game of football, to them it was a once in a lifetime chance, something they have been dreaming of since the draw was announced. there wouldn't be any fear of you because they were on home ground with the full weight of their fans behind them, and were expected to be on the end of big scoreline. The accumulated psychological effect took them to a level they'll probably never reach again. Beating all the teams in the championship would probably be easier. The biggest difference between the players isn't skill, it's the consistency of using that skill, if they could play like that every week they would be in a much higher league. It'll be a different story next Wed, unfortunately, I'd prefer to have the good teams out.

The annoying thing is that the RS will now show us up by easily thrashing Bolton 3-0. <whistle>

The RS playing at home will have an easy match. Bolton is **** away and I predict a Hat trick for Stevie.
