Anyone else seen this show? Went with my family yesterday - fantastic entertainment and strangely moving.
Yes it is. Highly recommended. All of my kids thought it was great even though they weren't familiar with most of the music. Not ashamed to say it made me rather misty-eyed.
I have indoctrinated my kids to good (i.e my) music through 19 years of car journeys. They like other stuff, but have an appreciation of the canon, including the Kinks, a particular favourite of my daughter. I'll check this show out - is Ray Davies involved? "All of my kids"? What have you got, a herd?
Just the three, Stan. Ray Davies is certainly involved with the show in some capacity - try and get to see it.
The Kinks produced some of the most evocative songs of the 60s so I imagine this show would certainly resonate with anyone who grew up in that era. Definitely one to see for me...
You'd love it Sooper. This sums it up well... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/theatre/...-theatre-review-i-swear-youll-get-goosebumps/
Bloke I know said it was great. Off to The Commitments Saturday so would be interested to go to see it at some stage. Stroller do you know how long it's on for?
Not sure. I think it was originally due to close in October but they've already extended once, so hopefully it will keep running. Both of my daughters loved The Commitments, but said this was better.
