It's off according to numerous websites but nothing from the club officially, which is mental. No tickets on sale for it on the website. Another comms **** up imo.
Only Accrington Stanley on sale on the e ticket site.. As much as I'm loving the on the field side of things, the off the field stuff is terrible. Absolutely ammeturish imo. Edit: and they haven't even told anyone that Accrington is on sale! Do they want to sell tickets or what?
The new commercial deparent are having to work from scratch after the carnage created by Donald's cut backs
Aye but they are still tweeting about the game yesterday and the U23s the other day and the lasses game today. Surely somebody, somewhere at SAFC knows if we have a game or not in 2 days time? The people running the competition have surely told SAFC if it's on or off by now?
Don't understand why they are only doing 1 game at a time - people want to plan and do things ahead of time. As you say it's all very amateurish
People need to swap shifts about, organize childcare, sort travel out etc. I'm lucky, I live about 10mins from the SoL, I'm happy to buy an e-ticket and scan a QR code and I can do it at short notice because I work in an office and finish work about half 4 most days. But not everyone can do that. Even if it's not SAFCs doing they should be telling us that as well and that it's out of their control just to take the heat off themselves. But there is nothing.
Tried to follow the Blackpool match last Tuesday on my phone using the clubs website app and there was nothing on about the game at all. Had to rely on my onefootball app for updates.
Not forgetting the chronic staffing issues caused by the pandemic. Yes there are issues, but I was certainly well aware that this and the Shef We’d matches were called off.
Was talking to my son about this today and he said it has never been on to be called off. He then showed me the page on the SAFC website, dated 12/8, a message showing the dates of the other 3 games but stating that the Man Utd game had yet to be arranged. Therefore, the sites showing the date of the game tomorrow must have just guessed at it. PS Not that I didn't believe him but I have just scrolled down the news items on the site and seen it myself, so we can't keep blaming the club when they have already stated that it has yet to be arranged.
Strange that it's showing as 'postponed' if it was never 'on' in the first place though isn't it? I didn't doubt is was off, just the comms from the club could have been a lot better imo.
I'm not sure which of our players have been called up,but I just pray they all come back injury free. I hate these international breaks.
