Valley of the crow.
Logged on MyeBay this morning to find I'd won a few Sunderland badges, totalling £31. It's my guilty pleasure, I must have over 600 Sunderland football badges all displayed in a glass picture frame. My dad started me off years ago and I've kept it going ever since.

Recently spent £250 on one Sunderland badge (it was uber rare) and was bought a rarer badge for Christmas by my old man which he set a limit of £650 on.

I know it sounds mental but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Anyway it got me thinking, do you collect/hoard Sunderland stuff?

Will sort some pictures out tonight. I'm that obsessed I had to take out a seperate contents insurance for the frame just incase some sly bugger decides they need a ready made Sunderland badge collection!

I dont collect like that but I seem to have collected a load of stuff and I'm not sure how. A big SOL mirror, lamp shades, a photo of the Sunderland team in the year I was born, table mats, nail clippers, signed pics and a little teady bearin Sunderland strip.

I used to collect Sunderland programs. (To my eternal shame they were thrown out when I got married. :( )

The badges you're talking about, are they the lapel badge type?

I still have an old one somewhere, no idea where but if it pops up I will give you a shout and you can have it.
Pretty sure there's me dads even older one a tie pin one, that I used to wear as an earring.
Yours if I find them, no promises though, as I have a loft full of junk (stuff that I know will come in handy some day. :) )

Ye basically anything with a pin on the back. Enamel, Lapel, Tin, Plastic anything....They'll all be passed onto my boy when I pop my clogs and if he decides to sell there'll be a quid there for him!

Cheers MackemsRule :)

I always wondered who bought them badges. Seen the fellas selling them outside the SOL and Roker for years.

Our kid bought one for his young un, when i took him to his first match vs Villa this season, a little black cat badge, he sat there rubbing it all game and was convinced that was what got us the win.

I didn't have the heart to tell him it was just another Richard Dunne own goal. Happens all the time.
