I know Bentilee but not that well, although some years ago it was a place an (estate actually) where I at least would not venture alone at night! Abbey Hulton was the same a (no go area) when I was a young lad.
So it seem's you know this area (Stoke on Trent) pretty well?
I was brought up in Baddeley Green. Some 2 miles or so away! That too was also refered to as living at the neck end of nowhere! Simply because there was only one bus route. And nothing much either side of it for a few miles. And Arnold Bennett did indeed use the word many times. Although I didn't know him to speak too! <laugh>
 
Good evening Stokies hope you win your next match i have a heart for you as you play in the stripes., if you dont mind me adding my bit in, it was that Waddo guy who kicked it off, ive sen him do it before, he even sent me a pm for me to bite, i see most of you guys are sensible and well genned up on your footy, just a shame you have him with you, never mind all boards have them, and as his name is probably frank as some mothers do ave em.
