...... don't bring your bored & bewildered children on the pitch after the Swansea game. We, the fans, are Sunderland, we've supported you all season and we deserve your undivided attention. This is our club and we want to see your appreciation for our efforts ....... not some whinging 2 year old who doesn't have a clue where he is. The first sign of a nappy or a dummy and I'm back to the Victory! (When I say we, I'm speaking on behalf of myself and the people I go to the games with.)
Totally disagree with you again Smug. I'm a family man and it's nice to see the players family sharing the day with them.
I don't agree with people bringing their kids to work ...... the supporters deserve the players to be 100% concentrated on the club & fans. They have the whole summer to be with their family just as you, I and every other family man can do.
If I recall correctly, this was a practice started by Dennis Wise at the end of an F.A. Cup Final, some years back. Even if I thought it was a good thing to do, which I don't, I'd have to agree with the OP on principle, given what a twat Wise is/was.
To my mind the players should be thinking 100% about the club & supporters ......... yes you have kids, most of us do, big deal. If the lads in the pub pre-match wanted to show me photos of their kids, and parade around them round, I'd find somewhere else to drink.
p.s. You're right about Wise ...... the baby was a half sized 'mini-me' version of him, ****ing horrible spectacle
Long tine Mitch, where a been? Reet bunch of fannies on now, (well at least two) ****ers. Good to read from ya.
Aye whatever.. That's the end of that... I honestly didn;t look at who posted the thread initally. then gathered it was one of your's. That was my singular post on this thread. no meed for debate, nor bicker, hence this thread is no more for me.
Depends how old the kids are, on match of the day, can't remember who it was but they had a little baby on the pitch sound asleep in their arms, clearly no place for the child. I they know what's going on then I've no problem with it, but that baby should have been in it's bed.
Although I agree with smug on this one I want no thanks off these players who only started trying a few weeks ago or since Connor come in. I will, for the first time, be leaving five minutes early to avoid all this sh*te from the players who as far as I am concerned can mostly go away in jerky movements.
I dont see anything wrong with the footballers bringing their kids onto the pitch, share the experience with them - to me it shows that the players are proud of our support otherwise they wouldnr bring the kids anywhere near the stadium. why? If you never go anywhere in case you baby or young kid goes to sleep, you'll never to anything and would be stuck at home all the time.
Why? Because it was asleep. Ok i'll rephrase it if your going to be pedantic; The baba shouldn't have been on the pitch. It knew nothing about what was going on, if the player had his hands free instead of carrying around a sleeping baby who knew **** all about what's even happening then he could show proper appreciation to the fans that part with their money to make this league what it is by putting his hands above his head and clapping them together. That final whistle should then be about the fans first and foremost. Like I said, if the kids know what's going then no problem. If they don't maybe they should spend some of their thousands on some childcare so they can they can have their hands free to say thank you to the fans. Ffs, they might as well bring their pet dogs onto the pitch, it will be more aware of the surroundings than a sleeping baby.
My point in a nutshell ........ if the players want the appreciation of the supporters they should reciprocate. What next, pushing their gran on in a wheelchair and inviting the nieces & nephews
you said it should have been in its bed. since when is it pedantic to expect people to say what they mean?
