Which season would you have preferred?

Strong mid table Newcastle, lost both derbies, sold best player, none in, form alarming

Us, still not safe, won both derbies, cup final, quarter final, a raft of bad signings, sacked manager, bottom three for the vast majority of the season.

I'm asking now with the real threat of relegation still hovering.

Both sets of fans, would you swap seasons?

No, as Jackerini says, we have some fantastic memories from this season and if we stay up, we will end the season on a high and not on a low like them up the road.

If we stay up - no swap - if we go down - swap!

Ours all day as long as we survive.

If god forbid we drop, then the derby wins and Wembley mean little.

It's easy to say Newcastle because they were safe with time to spare, but they're probably worse than us, by the season end they'll have conceded more and we'll have scored more. Ours all day long.

Two derby wins and a cup final against a mid-table finish with nowt done in either of the cups? That's no contest.

The issue is whether or not our season of struggle at the bottom, which has undoubtedly been more interesting, would be traded for a season of comfortable security. That's a bit harder to call.

I'd probably stick with ours though...
