Sunderland captain George Honeyman and home striker Nathan Tyson were sent off in the fracas that followed the visitors' late equaliser at Adams Park. The two players were on the bench having already been substituted by their respective teams. Wycombe were fined £7,250 and Sunderland £6,000 by an FA panel. "Both clubs accepted charges for failing to ensure their players and/or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour and/or violent conduct," the FA confirmed. Jack Ross's Sunderland are third in League One, while Wycombe are 13th. not good for us the financial probs that could arise hope they fine him for some of it back
Interesting that the consensus thought it was George Honeyman who started it yet Wycombe end up with the higher fine. 6K could have been a lot worse.
