    Aye gan on then!!

Newly installed Sunderland manager Gus Poyet will explore the possibility of making Emmanuel Adebayor a member of the Black Cats' squad as soon as the transfer window opens in January. The Tottenham forward has slipped into third choice striker at White Hart Lane.
Adebayor's manager at Spurs, Andre Villas-Boas, recently admitted that Adebayor is not happy playing third choice to Jermain Defoe and Roberto Soldado; whilst also admitting that the Togo striker is unlikely to play a bit part role in any domestic competitions this season.

That leaves Adebayor's long term future at White Hart Lane very uncertain. The manager of Sunderland, Gus Poyet, will now evaluate the Adebayor situation and see if a short term three month deal can be agreed from January 1st. It is understood that Sunderland are willing to pay up to 50 percent of Adebayor's bumper salary as part of any short term deal.

Adebayor very nearly joined Turkish club Besiktas back in August but a deal was scuppered at the last minute after the striker failed to agree personal terms. Later, Fenerbahce also made an approach for the forward and again a transfer fell through due to lofty wage demands.

Sunderland are desperate to find a new striker in the January transfer window and manager Gus Poyet is already in talks with chairman Ellis Short to see how much wage budget can be freed up to assist in a move for the Spurs striker.

He always has a cracking run of a dozen games or so. I'd take him on loan.

He's a phenomenally gifted player with a terrible attitude. I'm unsure about this one but tbh can't see him coming anyway

No no no! Most overpaid, overrated, lazyest sack off ****e in the Premiership. We've just got shot of part time Sess, we don't need a part time Adebayor.

Aye he does, but he's on a fraction of a wage Adebayor gets.

He always does well on loan and then sucks when he gets a permanent contract.

    It's a "NO!" from me.

I think our problem is and always has been, supply. Getting Adebayor would be like getting a rocket launcher and no bloody rockets...
