This happened at the SOL on sunday when City won the title Now in fairness it was hilarious, but I was hoping for United to win the title, because i dislike Mancini and the millions city have spent Not only that but the players United have helped us with in recent years Wondering on other people's thoughts?
Nice one. Amazing how quickly it all turned and our fans got the chance to take the piss out of them for a change. Result!
Id say we've helped Man Utd by giving them millions for players they didn't want anymore. It was abit of fun and it would have happened everywhere else. If fergie and Utd wanna take it personally so be it. Id say Sunderland fans were split 50:50 as to who they wanted to win the league on Sunday but think wed have rubbed it in more toward city fans if wed been playing them and they'd lost it.
When people talk about disliking man city for spending millions which they have over the last 3years well man united have been doing it for 10years. Berba, Rooney n Rio all cost over 30m I was buzzing when Aguero got that goal the other night and as for us signing there players, IMO we should of kept the money
A fact lost on most. They can add Cheski but I still want Di Matteo to win then give Abramovich the finger once he offers him the job full time
FUNNY. Ferguson shouldn't moan about our fans taking the piss, after all we were the team that took the points off citeh to allow them to go further ahead on points, and his team blew it.
I do alot of work in KL, Jakarta, Matlak, Labuan, Ho Chi Minh, Vung Tau etc, and the only shirts I ever see is Man Utd, Chelski and Liverpool. Occasionally an Arsenal one, but they are rare. When i speak to some of the local lads i work with about football, they ask who I support and after saying "Sunderland," they simply ask, "Why not Man Utd/Chelski/Liverpool?" To them there are no other teams in the football world really. Although, alot of them have massive respect for MoN, and you will be surprised at how many are starting to follow (not support, but take an interest in) Sunderlands progress due to MoN.
Bit embarrassed by it tbh. Should be celebrating our achievements not taking pleasure in other teams misery. If that is all we have got from the season well it's a bit sad really.
Yes financed by debt though leveraged against the club rather than from a sheiks pocket, only difference is one is borrowed at a much higher interest rate and expected to be paid back.
i didnt want man utd to win it. i know a few city supports and i wanted them to claim this over their rivals. I always just imagine that utd are the scum up to road, and were city, how would you feel if after 44 years of being oppressed by your neighbours, you finally beat them and took the silverware for a change? Happy for them, thought it was hilarious. Some utd fans really need to get a reality check.
I believe the debt was created by the owners in the way they acquired/purchased the club, and without this they would have operated at a profit over the past five years or so.
