Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat is 'keen' on bringing QPR midfielder Leroy Fer to the Stadium of Light, according to the Daily Star.
And that makes the Dutchman the second QPR midfielder to be linked with a move to Sunderland recently, with the club said to be in talks with Matt Phillips by the Daily Telegraph.
The Star, meanwhile, suggest Fer would 'jump' at the chance of staying in the Premier League.
Chances Created Final-Third Passes Dribbles Accurate Passes Tackles Appearances Minutes Played
    Sebastian Larsson
    58 321 21 1,134 63 36 3,060
    Leroy Fer 48 253 59 809 43 29 2,365
    Adam Johnson 39 219 47 603 17 32 2,082
    Patrick van Aanholt 35 189 36 758 56 28 2,306
    Jordi Gómez 23 270 12 798 38 29 1,941
As Opta stats show, the Rs man would bring plenty to the Sunderland midfield - on paper, at least.
Indeed, the Dutchman created more chances than any Black Cat bar Sebastian Larsson in the Premier League last term. Fer also fared well in terms of final-third passes, while winning 43 tackles and completing over 800 overall passes.

And then, of course, there's the small case of the QPR midfielder being capable of scoring brilliant goals like the one in the below match against Newcastle United...

As with Austin, Phillips, Green et al, if the price is right then the sooner the better...

I thought that Dick Advocaat had quit. Seems he is now still in charge. Fair enough.

Sunderland begged for Big Dick back and now they have their Big Dick for another year.
