o shea is worth keeping.he can play across the back four and in CM and does it all quite well without fighting with fergie or looking for first team football.
Brown, Gibson and O'Shea for £12mil. What do you lot think bearing in mind they'd all be playing for a mid-prem team? Personally seems a good deal. O'Shea and Brown have the experience and would be great to have in the squad. Gibson i've heard mixed things but when I've seen him play he doesn't look too out of place in a Man Utd side and he's still young.
Seriously? and what about Brown and O'Shea? Obviously they've been around for years and i've seen them a few times but what are they like now?
Wes Brown hasn't featured much in the last 2 years, but before that he was immense, as for O Shea he can provide cover in a variety of posistions. But come thinking about it a midfield of Oshea and Gibson still managed to beat Arsenal!
gibson isnt as bad as everyone says.hes not utd level, but thats because we want to be the best in the world.i would say a 10-15 placed club would suit him well. o shea has been excellant for us.if he leaves i will be very sad to see him go. brown was great the season we won the double.since then injuries have hampered him greatly.but very few players have his experience, with the exception of o'shea
Gibson needs a run of games and he could prove to be a decent player and i think could score a few of the goals sunderland have been missing since bent left; there defence is quite injury prone and not amazing as it is o'shea would be a great first choice RB or CB for them but id rather he stay. As for brown if he can find even half the form he had in the 08 season he'll be a great signing for them but hes really dissapointed in the past season or so
Gibson can be good but theres lots of factors including more match time and I don't see him getting (much) more than he is now. Wouldn't begrudge him leaving him United. I'd be upset to see Brown leave because technically he is absolutely top drawer. If only he wasn't injured as much he genuinely could have been England's best central defender. If he could stay fit for a good couple of seasons then he'd be a good buy for any other Premiership team, Arsenal should think about buying him (not that Brown would go to Arsenal but logically seems a good move because he is much better than any Arsenal defender). And I can't see Brown moving up past Evans, Smalling and now it seems like Jones for the central defensive berthes. O'Shea on the other hand is a must keep. He had a good season and his versitility is absolutely second to none. I actually think he offers better cover at left back than right back, seems to be more attacking on the left hand side.
