This isn't the match thread, just wondering how many tickets we have been given and how many sold so far? And how typical is it the only away game I can't go to they actually make general sale. Hope we take the max allocation as a win would secure safety, and looking at stoke's support their tonight, was embarrassing to be fair.
Weve sold all our near 3,000 tickets at Spurs for our final game and will probably get hammered!, we have 38,000 on a monday night on sky, why the frig we are in the relegation zone nearly every season is a disgrace. We beat you and you beat stoke and we both stop up!.
I suppose people would say that teams are where they deserve to be, but over the whole season (even including our poor start against the top sides), Saints have had few very bad games. I know everyone can name a few (especially those we should have won) but I can say hand on heart that I have been proud of Southampton this season. We have unfortunately hit a bad spot at the wrong time, but hopefully we have enough talent to get us over the line.
I hope that you are right - Sunderland play the type of football that we struggle to contain. We do better against the teams that try to play the ball out of defence, no disrespect to Sunderland but that's not how I see Sunderland play - hardly hoof-ball like WHU or Stoke - but alot of long balls from the back. In fact, our last two games are against teams that effectively nullify our high-tempo pressing game... gonna be tough end of the season if we do not get something from the Sunderland game.
Have to hit them early...a couple of early goals should do it. The trouble is we have stopped scoring...very strange when we were on fire only a few games ago. Shaw's injury affected us and I now think nerves have set in...need that confidence back...as Maggie Thatcher said, This is not the time to wobble!
We were poor against West Brom, but we were the better team against Spurs and did not deserve to lose. That's not a wobble, that's just the breaks. We should be going to Sunderland determined to get something from the game, and confident of our ability to do so. Plus going to the North East in May is far less daunting than going there in the middle of winter. We have nothing to fear from Sunderland or De Canio.
Crazy - that this is the 3rd year in a row where our entire season boils down to the last 2 remaining matches!
Sunderland fan in peace. I understand you've sold your initial allocation so getting some more. Stoke managed a staggering two coach loads last night though we didn't exactly fill the rest of the ground. Hope don't turn up this weekend, we could do with the points. Think your safe and it's been good to have you back in the prem. I've got Norwich to go without picking up another point but better safe than sorry so I think it will be a good game. We've only got 15 senior players available for this match including 4 cbs, 2gk and only one striker. We're weak so you could take us. ****ting over this match as we have spurs away last game.
Think it's a bit different going for promotion than avoiding relegation However, having said that, I remember feeling just as anxious because we looked like throwing away a good season right at the end. Scratch New Saints and you find Old Saints underneath.
I`m going with my son - a couple of weeks ago, I had this down as an end of season-nothing really to play for game - now it`s anything but. Time for us to get a couple of breaks that we didn`t at Swansea or Spurs. Squeaky bum time !
You'll be more than welcome, we don't give away fans any grief, and you will be welcomed all over town. Obviously I hope we win, but depending on Swansea tonight a draw may well do us both. You lads have been good for the league, I really don't think you are under threat, sadly for me, as I like them, I think Norwich are the one's in peril, although we are still right in the ****.
still all to play for. im not confident about sainst getting a result up there have to say but then i thought we'd beat spurs.
We did make things difficult for Spurs...just couldn't hold out. It shows we are a good side...just need to prove it in last 2 games.

I don't want you to go down either, but if it means that beating you ensures our safety then I am afraid that is what I want. I would love to see what effect your gaffer could have on the big Premier teams!
