The Swede is off contract in June and saw a winter market move to Sunderland blocked earlier this season.

The People says Sunderland Steve Bruce is confident he will sign Larsson when he becomes available.

Sevilla and Atletico Madrid are also monitoring developments.

Could do better but could also do worse, takes a canny set piece and would probably be cheap.

A decent player who would be a good buy in my opinion. He plays on the right wing I think and can actually get a corner free kick into the box and onto one of our players so just what we need.

Would take him considering our corners and free kicks don't get passed the man at the near post and the wall respectively.

I would be really rather pleased with that.

You know we've all been really down on Bruce, myself included, often with very good reason, but this summer we could find ourselves with 3-4 really great signings. Also, he's surely learnt his lesson about not leaving the squad short of players. In a perfect world Bruce could be chief scout, and Martin O'Neil manager, with strict instructions to reign in the spending. (Joking!)

But in reality I think we'll all quite like Brucie's signings, just not his ongoing lack of tactical know how...

I'm a big fan of Larsson, and think he'd be an excellent signing, especially on a free.

    Nothing further to add.

I like the idea of Larsson, simply because he's not Elmoshowaddywaddy.

i'd be very pleased if we signed him especially on a free, he nearly always beats the 1st man on corners and i like the way he whips them inswinging free kicks in from wide areas.

If the next level is getting the ball past the first man and within 3 yards of a Sunderland player, he ****ing nails it.

Imagine, a goal from a corner.....

Neither of us will be getting Gameiro marra, i'd say he lands at Valencia, and then we nip in and take Aduriz from Valencia (we won't try, but we should)
