Being reported in a few places... http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/oct/06/sunderland-approach-nigel-pearson-manager http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...oach-Nigel-Pearson-to-become-new-manager.html Will he take it?
... they seem somewhat split as to the prospect on their board ... http://www.not606.com/threads/who-do-you-want.312769/ .. a few in favour but those that are against well ... let's just say that Proud and Gangsta may want to avoid the thread ...
They are talking about appointing the likes of de Boer and Landrup. I have a feeling they might be really disappointed...
Rumours are that Big Sam, Moyes and Dyche have already turned it down. So has 'arry, but thats probably a good thing!
... former US coach Bob Bradley now in the frame... makes sense with a US owner (and their kit already being half-way to the stars and stripes)
Not that I would have him now but having to manage Sunderland is apt punishment for not joining us when we asked.
Good appointment by Sunderland, can't see them going down with Allardyce at the helm, pleased to see him back in management, always had a bit of a soft spot for Big Sam.
Sam is a great short term appointment for Sunderland and with their current squad they are much more suited for Big Sam then Nigel Long term Nigel will be a great appointment for someone but with how he likes to build his own team he would probably be better off starting with a Championship club and building them up
Its probably a big job even for Big Sam but hes probably the best out of work candidate that they could get. Could have been worse, they could have gone abroad and found the next Felix Magath
