Both are struggling just above the drop zone, two wins would make our position totally different, two defeats and we'll be disappearing over the relegation horizon. These could be our two most important matches of the season to date, the opportunity for Harry to weave his magic and really fire us up the table. Sunderland looked poor today and we couldn't pick a better time for this game and Villa will be their usual difficult selves at a packed Loftus Road on Saturday, I really think on today's showing we could win both. We won't get 6, my optimistic self says 4, but probably 1-2 is all we'll get. Too much ship-turning going on.
For everyone's morale, but especially my son's, we have to beat Villa at home next week. And I don't think there is a better time to play Sunderland. One plus of Arry is that he won't have a confusing game plan, so should be easy for the players to understand and adapt. 3 points from these games a must, 4 points lovely, 6 points a dream.
I think we can get 6 points, its a shame we are so light up front. AF must not play and then we have a chance.
Agree. We need a win to prove to ourselves, the players and the entire footballing world that we can and will win matches. Anything more than that one win is fantastic for form and confidence but isn't an automatic expectation.
Would love 6 points - 3/4 would do nicely. Got to say that despite a very heartening performance from the team, two of our most attacking players (Adel & Cisse) seemed to be playing for themselves again. In general I think we need Adel in the starting XI, but I thought today he slipped back into selfish mode, taking on 2 or 3 in centre mid, shooting from miles out and not passing when he should. He can make the difference in games, but I still find it difficult to comprehend how he still plays this way! There is a possibility that he's played himself out of the team today.
Call me a daydreamer or whatever but with Harry coming in and us coming up against Villa and Sunderland, there is no time better than to secure a win against both. They aren't playing much better than us and with the change of management for us, things can only improve ............... not so for our opponents.
While 3 or 4 is more probable and we ain't done well in the so-called 6 pointers this season, 6 is mandatoy in the next 2.
