Sunderland and Newcastle United fans could be involved in a travel clash this summer.Sunderland are due to travel to Doncaster Rovers in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday, July 29, with Newcastle at York City, on the same night.

There's always a minority of idiots for any team.

But I can't imagine there will be much aggro at 2 pre season friendlies in July.

    Might be wrong though!!

    Colour clash?

If they're on the same trains Newcastle will get off first and back on last which favours us imo :emoticon-0105-wink:

The main problem will be where the Sunderland supporters get on for the outward journey.
If we have to go to Newcastle to catch the train we'll be on the platform with them and fighting for seats once the doors open.
If we have to go to CS, on the return, we'll all be getting off while the pubs are still open.

I've seen aggro at U18 games. Pre season or not most idiots like any opportunity to fight.

Minority of idiots. Such a shame but all clubs have them.

The problem is that these games attract the chavs because the tickets are cheap and they like the idea of 'taking over' a little ground where they know they'll probably be in the majority. They drink all the way, on cans they've sneaked on, and don't really care if they get banning orders ....... just in my opinion of course <ok>

It was those knobs that forced the club to stop putting away tickets up for general sale. ****ing idiots.

Aye. The worst thing is - Most of the idiots that invaded the pitch were kids. Deserved a good slap.

Darlo and Carlisle have always had a handy set of lads, same goes with Hartlepool.
They might be little clubs, but they are more than capable of getting a few hundred handy lads togeather if needs be.

    True enough.

I've been to virtually every club, including through the 70's & 80's, and some of the worst trouble I've had was at Chesterfield, Carlisle & Preston.
