http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-17987182 This is a disgrace! He's been one of the young players of the season in the Premier League and fully deserves to be called up. Sectarianism has no place in football in my opinion.
yet another despicable incident involving sectarianism. please, PLEASE, never let either glasgow giant play in england
Is it me or does Twitter cause more harm than good. Look at it this way, I don't care and don't really want to know if somebody has had weetabix for breakfast, or 3 dumps instead of 2 etc, etc, etc. All it does is give a bigger platform for an idiot to spill their load of bile on to the normal thinking world. Now i know that for every 1 racist idiot you can have 10,000 good tweeters, but surely this needs to be looked at and sorted out once and for all!
BTW, While i find sectarianism/racism appalling and inhuman! wouldn't it have been better for mcclean not to rise to the bait and tweet what he did, surely that is just what these idiots wanted!
Exactly Guru. Twitter just seems like a way for celebrities and footballers to be in touch with fans and as has been said before on this site, people are not aware that the internet exists outside their bedroom. I enjoy the rivalry with Ipswich, but, for me, it doesn't go outside of football. I just stick to banter. I don't hate Ipswich but I do like to take the piss out of Ipswich when they lose without resorting to abuse!
