Sunday, now six days to go Before we wake up on the morn, Of Saturday next, for the show That all players want to adorn, The Premier League razzamatazz Will roll once again until May, And there´s no doubt that it still has Potential for shocks every day, As always l´m filled to the brim With all yellow optimism, Our chances are much more than slim After last year´s baptism, New faces maybe at the top And new ways of looking at things, But players who run till they drop Will be ready when the bell rings, For round one, and we´ll all be there Just as keen and eager to win, As on any match day last year So let the whole circus begin, And in fact, our slight scoring drought In pre-season worries me not, I think I´d be filled with more doubt Had we scored three or four on the trot, Much better to save them for when They´re needed, where points are at stake, And starting at ´Cottage Craven´ Would do nicely, after the break. Hi RBF, getting really excited now, I can't believe how some are panicking at our pre-season lack of goals, it's more about experimentig formations, learning new team-mates idiosyncrasies and getting towards match fitness! We'll be fine when the bell goes, just you wait and see!
Hi RBF bor, the countdown starts in earnest now, we now have to rely on the Fates and of course of expertise in survival. Will we, won't we ? End of the season will tell, all we know for certain is that three clubs will be making way for fresh arrivals. If the worse comes to the worse, we could always use Rex to inject some bite into our team. LOL.
Morning dave, and NORKIE One thing´s for sure, if we´d have been scoring like mad already, you can bet your life that as soon as the real action started, goals would have completely dried up. Fancy we´ll have another decent season, without too much looking over our shoulders, now that we´re one year the wiser, with hopefully more clean sheets coming our way than with PL. Not always having to score at least 2 to win, would be a relief. and NORKIE, Rex is always available to add his pennyworth to proceedings.
Can't wait going to be tough but i'll still scream myself silly every week even though I'm old enough to know better whatever happens I will still be there forever green and yellow All the best Mr Lambo and so many thanks for getting my club back where it belongs sorry you've gone but we move on and hopes that we can push on 16th and a cup will do please Mr Hewtun!
