11-15 dont open its annoying if the other half wants something and i have to wait till then theyre losing thousands with these hours nobody gives a toss anyway
Jon - I have not got a clue what you are talking about. In regards to Sunday trading and 24 hour shopping I feel sorry for SOME of the people that are FORCED to work those hours. Do not let the powers that be con you that people work these hours voluntary, some do not. All for pay that does not even resemble anything like the overtime pay before all these changes came in to law. I could be wrong but I understand a union is already canvassing its members with one particular large supermarket chain, to establish if employees are doing the hours out of freedom of choice etc. Do not get me wrong, they give much needed jobs in a difficult climate which are to be welcomed, however, also there needs to be some independent check, ensuring that the supermarket chains are giving that additional opportunity with the extended hours and that they are not actually turning their employees in to forced slave labour whilst increasing profits. Yes there are many benefits all round to shopping on a Sunday or out of hours but let not the supermarkets abuse the good intended reasons that they were allowed to trade such hours in the first place. Maybe it is time to start revitalising our high streets and kicking some of these chains back into touch, although as always the greedy will continue to prosper, while the smaller businesses are being left to die, with no assistant from the government. 100k? laughable.
