I really must stop using this forum as a sort of confessional, a place to come each morning to unburden my strange mind of the thoughts gathered up during my slumber. I try talking to the dog on our early morning walk but he just looks at me, turns and unburdens himself in a more conventional way.

Anyway, to my point, I awake this bright Sunday morning with no need for the, please make today the day plea because yesterday was the day with two international players joining us. Do you remember the not to distant past when Cork was our hunting ground and we woke excited to the news of Murphy, Healy (I know not Cork but poetic licence please), and the young striker so prolific I forget his name.

Am I the only one with that sneaky feeling that the mighty Bruce, you know the one who stated he will not be spending big, the one who assures the world that a striker is not high on his list, the one who will probably announce today that he cant see us making anymore signings this window. Am I the only one who thinks he may have a little surprise up his sleeve on deadline day?

I ad lots of plans for today, things to do, people I should go and see, odd jobs that need doing. I can see another day of SSN, live football and not606 looming.

How can someone with such a sad life be so happy? I know, it’s because this carpet I’m on gets more magical by the hour.

Enjoy your Sunday fellow mackems and keep the faith, whatever your is.

Morning Syd. It is amazing how easy we can all get sucked into the transfer window vortex and stumble out at the end of the day to realise another day in the real world has passed us by.
I wouldnt be surprised if Quinny and Brucie pulled another signing out of the hat and if they do it will be a real Brucey Bonus thats for sure. But I am content now with the business we nailed yesterday.
We really are moving into new territory and it feels great doesn't it?

Quite agree Syd. I think Bruce & Quinn have a surprise for all of us in the striker department. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

As Syd says, we may see Sessegnon take some part in the match but even if we don't, the fact that we have just signed two top class players will give the whole team a lift anyway and i expect the atmosphere to be buzzing with anticipation on Tuesday.

I can't wait and god know's what i'll be like if Brucie does sneak a striker in before the deadline.

The future is bright, it's Red & White.

Morning Syd and fellow posters! It's a cold wet overcast January Sunday and I've still got a big smile on my face following yesterday's events! Yes I think Mr Bruce and co still may pull a rabbit out the hat and surprise us all tomorrow. On the downside, I've just checked my diary to see what's happening at work tomorrow and Im at conference all day in a place I affectionately call "The Landfill" located deep in the heart of Mordor! Contemplating whether to wear my home shirt on underneath the shirt and tie, wander past the sky sports reporter who, no doubt, will be kicking his heels waiting for any impending arrivals that we all know won't happen, and in the style of Superman, rip open my disguise of a mild mannered health worker and reveal my true colours!!! ........ And then run like ****!!!! ha ha!

What is Sessegnon match fitness situation going to be like if he has not trained or played for a while?

For what its worth, I would guess he'll be on the bench and will get a run out last 20 mins or so.

Bruce plays the transfer market very well so it would not surprise me if the rabbit did come out of the hat.
The wife is getting worried about the time I'm spending on the computer. I think she suspects I'm chatting to some Russian bird.
