3pm Naas Champagne. James 5/1 e/w I think this is a great each way shout. Quickpick Vic makes the market so this is a reasonable price to get stuck into. I rate this horse. Top bumper performance to beat Blackmail quite easily. He lost to Union Dues but that, i am sure, will prove in time to be a high class horse. He's then probably needed experience when running very well in defeat over hurdles a couple of times until LTO when the horse hammered a fair field. He'll need improvement but I think that's in the tank and I'd like to think 5/1 will look big this time tomorrow. He's already beaten Quickpick Vic over hurdles with ease and that horse is fav based on his clever Ruby ride a couple of runs ago. You definitely wouldn't be running to back him at 15/8 based on a distant 4th LTO even if that was in a grade one. Leinster National 5pm Naas Los Amigos 4/1 Los Amigos is a warm order at 4/1 but if you look at the Thyestes he's been hammered in the market and subsequently run an almighty race to only lose out to On His Own who has gone on to win a reasonable grade 2 NTO. I rate the winner highly. I think this will again be competitive and he could lose the race but I think a small 4lb rise is very lenient and he's worth the little investment.
I agree Quickpick Vic is one to take on granted he won't get a soft lead here. The one I like though is the apparent 2nd string in Martello Tower 11/1, look's a very nice type and I'm hopeful he will run a good race for Russell after a lay-off.
The lay off put me off that one but agree if it takes to jumping it should be a decent sort for the final third of the season .
A sporting outsider from me today in the form of CANUSPOTIT 20-1 2.20 Warwick. This fella has some tidy novice form in the book having chased home RED SHERLOCK and MOSS ON THE MILL in two of his starts and those efforts probably earned a plenty stiff enough opening mark to go handicapping with. He was duly comprehensively beaten at Doncaster in a race won by SEVENTH SIGN. Todays affair looks considerably weaker and the handicapper has dropped him 5lbs for that effort. Matt Crawley who rode him in both his runner up runs takes 5lb off his back today and he is also dropped in trip from 3m 1f to 2m 5f. If he runs up to his novice form then he has a very good chance and looks cracking each way at 20's.
Have had a decent E/W punt on that one myself, the Lucy Wadham barn in terrific form, last 5 runners, 4 seconds and a third beaten a total of 6 Lengths She deserves a change of luck !
That's pretty shrewd hawkeye. Been behind some decent sorts that one too. Just think it wants upping in trip but certainly not a forlorn hope today!
2.50 Miss Balantyne @ 7/4 - Amazing price really for this horse in a three runner heat. She is a spring ground horse and they have kept her back over the winter, and I think that will pay dividends this spring. She is a big horse from a good family, and I think Chasing will be her game. Its good that she is going to another jumping track to race today after being disappointing over the railway fences at Sandown. Her two rivals have been racing on bottomless ground and I think the ground will be more in her favour than the pair she faces.
Unfuckingbelieveable, ****s up the last when nailed on for a place at worse then done for third very close home by its ex stablemate. My luck is ****ing ****!
Act Alone fluffed the last big style didn't he!! That Little Jon yesterday looks a right beast, not seen a horse that size do so well in a competitive handicap hurdle for a long time.
I still don't think he would have picked them up NASS. NTD horse was a grand sort and didn't mind doing the donkey work either.
