Just back in from our morning walk and what a great morning it is, frost under foot and a nip in the air but the sun breaking through and one of those mornings it feels good to be alive.

Osca fed and watered and now back in his bed snoring, life is hard for him and I may well be joining him for a few more hours to top up my sleep before a full day of sport. A funny day of sport for me, a day when I look forward to the Newcastle city game and Man U Swans more than ours at Fulham, our last few performances have left me less than impressed.

Can Newcastle finish the job, can Cisse score again or will the quality of City win through? At Man U everything is set for an easy United win so they will no doubt draw or lose. From my point of view all I want is for both United teams to end the same, win, lose or draw just go into next weekend level. It will be good to go to our last game with some meaning, maybe it's the spark our lot need to give us one final blood and guts performance before we head off for the summer.

That takes us to the next topic, who will be coming back for the new season, Bendtner, Bridge and The Greek look homeward bound but who will join them. I can see us petering out to a 12th or even 13th place finish, disappointing after the run we had but maybe for the best, a nice disappointing end may be the reminder MON and Short need going into the summer spending spree, both tell us what they want, its getting near time to prove it.

Well that's my morning ramble over, back to bed to dream of better things to come.

Look at MONs spell at Villa syd they always petered out for the last 9 or so games maybe it's happening with us as well. Next season should see us start well and climb the table hopefully and, maybe this time no slump from us as that is what is costing us not just under MON but also with Bruce and Keane. Got a feeling the new faces will not be as numerous as we all hope for, think you are right about Bendtner, Bridge and the Greek think a few more will leave as well to trim the squad down to a more manageable size and better standard overall.
p.s. It's a bright sunny day in Shields mate just getting the Sunday dinner prepped now then of to "church".

I fancy a good performance from our lads at Fulham, but I will have half an eye on the other games, and will be hoping that Man City do the business at Skunksville...

    Been a strange day..

First of all i had Billy attempting to Talk Polish to me.

Then i set out on a drive up country to see the missus and bairn....stopped 3 times by the copper for speeding....**** knows how they can tell without any speed guns....anyway fines paid which duly went into their pockets....gotta love corruption being so up front.

Anyway had lunch, and they decided to come back down to the house where spent most of my time, so we took the scenic route, skirting round some mountains...Bad idea, the normal 2hrs drive ended being 4 hours due to a tropical storm....

But back, ready for the footy and snooker. Beers ready, air-cons on...................
