Keep it simple for me. Hoping to make up for a near miss on Colour Squadron with a John Quinn special at Cheltenham. KASHMIR PEAK 10/1 and CALCULATED RISK 25/1 Beat Samtegal at Doncaster last season receiving 3lb- receives 9lb today. Comes in nice and fit from a career best on the flat, and if we strike a line through his Triumph run when a lot of horses were being ridden from a long way out, he was a promising hurdler who lost his unbeaten record when tipping up on 3rd start. A mark of 135 is fair given the way Samtegal went on to perform, and I just fancy he is ripe at this time of the season. Costello chooses him but you would be crazy not to have a cover on CALCULATED RISK, who receives 6lb from his stablemate and therefore cannot be ignored. As I understand it, I'm guessing Costello thinks Kashmir Peak has more potential, but with both having gone well fresh back over jumps, you cannot discount either and Calculated Risk has some good form on stiff tracks when winning at Ascot and Sandown. John Quinns recent form with 4 wins reads 6312541101 and I'd be keen to have a small interest on both, with the rest od the racing not really interesting me.
A jockey rewrites the record books one week, tomorrow a LEGEND rewrites horse racing history as we know it. And to think he was once viewed as 'overhyped'! Oh how history can judge us all eh Defy Logic and Don Cossack win. The Cheltenham cards too hard and can F### right off
**** me I may as well have given myself an entry in the Morgiana Hurdle and picked up some place money. Another crock of ****e Grade 1. Felix Yonger and Defy Logic ought to be a good matchup Beefy! Don Cossack looked really promising on chase debut.
Agree absolute joke race but to be fair you can't beat what's not there AND get ready for more of the same whenever Sprinter Sacre races Doesn't diminish a magnificent feat though to be on course to be winning the thick end of 20 Grade One races
I personally don't think Felix Yonger will be able to lay a glove on DEFY LOGIC over 2 miles. He is the definition of a white knuckle ride, and he'd be mighty scary around Cheltenham in an Arkle Don Cossack won't come out of second gear, his jumping was breathtaking on debut. These 2 are 'jailcases' as Eddie / Joe / Master would say.
15.15 Cheltenham- Samtegal 10/1 Placed in both the Triumph and the scottish champion hurdle- seems to be a horse going places. Won nicley lto over C&D just over a month ago, beating the likes of Bayan and Handazan- so will be racing fit , obviously likes the course and with the Trainer on form being denied so unluckily today, he will be wanting to take some gold home.
If he's a white knuckle drive he's not a jail case beefy but good luck with your bet. Sounds like you're staking more than I am on that race.
I think Flaxen Flare might be carrying my money in the Greatwood .................... or maybe not. First at Cheltenham is a piece of piss - 24 runner conditional jockeys handicap hurdle where's that ****ing pin Raya Star and Sire De Grugy both look bombproof and we could well see a David Pipe double courtesy of The Liquidator and Red Sherlock
At least you can say its name! Unlike the Scottish play!!!! Why does Scottish look wroing with 2 x t??? scotish? <erm> disnae (scottish for does not) look any better
I like DB in RS race- I know RS has the form over hurdles just think my selection he was made for chasing. have done a Liquidator Dodging Bullets SDG Samtegal L15
Defy Logic Evens - Jailcase Morning Assembly 5/4 - Jailcase Don Cossack was impressive but the race fell apart, he wont get near Morning Assembly. If this was a 25 mile Arabian desert race id give Cossack a look.
