For a lighthearted bit of fun, let's see who can win this competion. All you have to do is pick the winner of each of the four events taking place today. The member with the most correct selections wins. If it's a tie, then I'll pose a sudden death question after the end of The Open - and the first correct answer will win. All selections must be posted before 1.00pm. 1. Irish Oaks at The Curragh (3.20) 2. The Open Golf Championship at Lytham 3. The German Grand Prix at Hockenheim 2. The Final Stage of The Tour De France (not the overall winner!). To get it going , here's my selections: 1. Princess Highway 2. Adam Scott 3. Vettel 4. Peter Sagan
1 - Great Heavens 2 - G. McDowell 3 - Vettel 4 - Cavendish As i will be at the pub when the golf finishes i shall guess the answer to the tie-break question 'IF' i get lucky and come equal 1st... Answer - Bradley Wiggins... Cheers Tam...
Sorry Tam. Wife and daughter went off to a show, grandson went to the beach with a friend, I decided to try and clear the courtyard which had got completely out of hand whilst my leg was in plaster. Ankle started swelling so I came in and sat down for a while. Just woke up and realised it's too late. I haven't seen a list of runners for the events so this is one comp I won't be winning. Hopefully I'll be with it enough for the next one.
Tamerlo: Is Peter Sagan winning the Green Jersey classed as a winner? Erm, (1) and (3) were e/w of course............ Doesn't matter anyway; Stick's got all four right I reckon. A big round of to him!.
Stick, well done!! Cruised home on a tight rein! Great 75% strike rate- and your other beaten in a photo.(You've got to feel gutted for Adam Scott- but well done, Ernie).
Cheers Tam, how typical that the last leg of the accumulator lets you down in a head-bobber huh! Poor Scotty, snatched defeat from the jaws of victory and will probably carry that with him for a long long time!
