Sunday, bloody Sunday

A typical Sunday afternoon lying on the sofa with a dog snuggled up to me got me thinking how little that bloody Sunday feeling has changed since childhood. Dinner, telly, then to bed with school/work the next day. And Sunday night telly is and ever was a calmer, more relaxing and reflective affair. So, what is/was everyone's favourite Sunday night viewing?

He missed out on Hamish Macbeth and my favorite Ballykissangel.

 

I watched a few of Hamish MacBeth, thought Begbie was quite good playing a copper.

 

Sunday evening TV was Top Gear until the sacked Clarkson , Hammond n may

loved it and the “specials” like Bolivia

 

Howard's way was the sailing one? I liked that one actually. The yacht was called Barracuda iirc

 

Did the priest ever ride the barmaid?

 

What was that show with the old geezer in a shed polishing horse brasses? Jack somebody, I think The Fast Show ripped him off for coughing Bob Fleming.

Ski Sunday or the Horse of the Year Show which may only have been once a year but always seemed to be on the telly.

 

Jack Hargreaves in the shows Out of Town and Old Country. A personal favourite.
