Ayr 200 I like the look of democratic oath but i will be siding with crack du ninian at 9/4 who should have the edge for this
We often talk about bumper runners coming from a good family and I picked up on something Willie Mullins mentioned in his Sporting Life column about his runner in the Fairyhouse bumper today, Grivei. He is by Muhtathir (sire of Envoi Allen, Twinlight, James Du Berlais etc) and is the first foal of unraced mare Stourza. The dam's family is where it gets very interesting indeed. She is by Soldier Of Fortune out of Grivette and just look at what Grivette did as a 4YO - not much better pieces of form around than this:
Poor Southwell. What have they done In the 3.20 at Fairyhouse i reckon that Wingin A Prayer may well run a good enough race to be able to challenge for top honours again today. Was going well enough until coming down lto. 17/2 around the best price available currently. Have a nice day.
Nice chase debut from Saint Sam there - very sound jumper. Also interesting to see Castlegrace Paddy placed on his handicap debut at the ripe old age of 11. I wonder if they might try and get him in the Grand Annual? He could be very competitive if they can get his mark down to about 150.
Winner was well treated, albeit not the strongest of races either. Wingin A Prayer paid the price at the end by trying to lay up with that pace of the winner and faded into 4th toward the end. We live to fight another day.
