Morning all... Sandown 1.50pm Lord of Kerak 15/8 win. Ran a nice debut behind Wilde About Oscar with the two pulling clear of the field. The latter mentioned Skelton horse trounced a field up at Aintree yesterday. Olly Murphy's horses have tended to need their first run and I think this horse could be very classy. Massive chance. Good luck all!

Some expensive purchases going in the Sandown bumper, topped by Paul Nicholls Flemenstide for a whopping €325,000. The Flemensfirth gelding is related to none other than Master Minded on the Dam side. The Whateleys shelled out €165,000 for the Fame And Glory gelding Armand De Brignac and Boulting For Glory was a €100,000 who will appreciate a sounder surface after 2 tame efforts on heavy ground. Relatively cheap by comparison at £58,000, the McManus-owned No Ordinary Joe is subject of glowing reports from the gallops and there will be some long faces at Seven Barrows if he doesn't get the job done today. Anthony Honeyball's Mont Segur is potentially the biggest danger but carrying a penalty against what looks a decent field will not be easy. Fun prediction: 1. No Ordinary Joe 2. Armand De Brignac 3. Mont Segur
Bloody hell Witness Protection turns a competitive looking novices hurdle into a procession - very impressive.
Just a modest e/w on Coral Lad in the Bumper at Sandown (16:00). One of my local tracks in my younger days, and my favourite too. Have seen some great racehorses at the Esher course in my time. .
as stick pointed out it’s owned by The Project Mars Racing Partnership. So as one of PM owners I wish them well and hope they get it well handicapped for when we buy it at the sales in the future.
Sorry, Nass, I am not with it today. I know nothing about the Project Mars Racing Partnership vis-à-vis Coral Lad. Could you please clarify for this poor old forum member.............
Gifford used to train Project Mars, he was purchased from them at the sales and we now have him with Fergal. The Giffords kept the partnership name, and are running this horse in that partnership name. The line was that we will buy it when they’ve got it nicely handicapped like they did with Project Mars!
how did it run? My eyes were drawn to the winner and the Nicholls horse so didn’t notice it’s finishing position.
