I did say I was putting a wheelbarrow job up for tomorrow as when I looked the tissue price was 7/4. However best opening show was 10/11 and I like my horses to at least double my pocket.
One of my golden rules in bumpers is not to back them carrying a penalty but I was impressed with SOLEGLAD on debut and think he can go in again.
On a seperate note. What a ridiculous price on the Olly Murphy runner tomorrow. We said this would happen!

hmmmm

Sounds good Drever, we did manage to get a few of us together in the Guinness Village a couple of years ago. Would love to meet a few more off here, yourself included.

That's where I'm normally knocking about so we've probably already had a swordfight in the gents without knowing <laugh>

You dipped your toe antepost yet Stick?

Wasn't a fan of it as I've been burned in the past but really taken a swing at it this year.

My memory is shocking these days, I know I backed a couple, only a couple mind after last year but I am buggered if I can remember now what they were. I think FAYONAGH for the Mares was one.

Stick will squire run at Brighton on Friday??

I thought it was Wednesday mate. A really nice prize there but I reckon a lot of trainers will be eyeing that up. Failing that Sandown on Thursday evening where I think he would have an almighty chance. 1 mile up the Sandown finish is right up his street. I actually think he ran his best race at Sandown when Rembrandt Van Rijn beat him.

He is actually entered in both! Only looked at the Thursday and Friday cards as in going both days! The Wednesday is the big race Fridays look as a whole load easier however i see Jimmy Quinn has already been jocked up on him for Wednesday

I think Michael is leaning toward the Wednesday race, we havent spoken about jockeys and I had assumed Adam would ride. Its fantastic prize money for a low grade handicap on Wednesday and a big **** off trophy as well LOL
Wherever he runs this week, I shall be there!

That Brighton race has been targeted by a Wiltshire barn for the past 2 terms (Michael Blake’s Pick A Little) for the exact same reason that you mention – awesome prize money for a relatively low class contest. He’s gone very close both years as well – including in ’16 at a huge price.

Pick A Little loves the course because as well as those efforts is also a 4 time winner at the venue. Has fallen down the ratings since his win at the course last September (71 to 62) and he will be at the meeting again this term – not in Squire’s heat though but on Thursday in a lowly class 6 event.
